I think generally fingerprinting relies on a smooth surface, but I'm not sure if there are more high-tech ways of doing it! I don't think samosas are renowned for their crime-fighting properties, although their triangular shape could lead to them being considered a dangerous foodstuff in some parts of Essex...

I've never had an invitation to a funeral either. It seems like rather an odd thing, but on the other hand, at least you won't know if people don't bother to turn up. :o

I think maybe I was a bit too sympathetic. It was a general invite via messaging but seriously he was horrible, he tried to stitch me up, I didn't like him. I am amazed she even considered I would want to go.

In good news, the girls I work with think I am much younger than them. The one saying it was older than me but only by ONE year! They thought I was in my mid to late 30's.:D (Well I suppose I was once!)

Right off to buy a bottle of wine and make some pasta and salmon I think. Will need to test the salmon to see if it's okay. Otherwise it will be chorizo and pasta.

    I'm tired and hungry.

I hope the salmon was edible (I had to tell a bossy but very lovely lady who invited me to dinner that I didn't eat salmon when I saw her cooking 2 pieces :o. I shoulda snaffled it for you.)

I will sleep tonight. Have had a hard couple of weeks (I know some of you will disagree with this and think I've had a hard couple of months!)

Have managed to get the computer working again through that wee trick - turn the computer off and then turn it back on again. Don't you find it amazing how well that works!:D

Do have to travel back oop north tomorrow but have a quiet weekend planned. Out with friends on Saturday, up at my brothers Sunday and a bit of light dusting Monday.

Did cook salmon. Really amazing recipe.
Salmon and pasta (original eh?) :rotfl:
Fry onion, add peas, add salmon shavings (packs 98p), mix in one carton of elmlea/creme fraiche, a splash of lemon juice and a big dollop of tomato puree. Add pasta and stir.

Had half tonight, half for tomorrow's lunch.

Better make a move. Nice relaxed day tomorrow Nic - a trip to York accompanied by beer and more beer.

Pater's just rang so I'll be going to see him on Monday. Complaining about not seeing me. Does he not understand that my life is a constant crush of work, driving, pub quizes and biscuit munching. There's not even time to fit in sleep!

Beautiful blue sky...no clouds...lunch packed and enough money left in the budget to go and hunt and gather some beers in York.

Does life get any better than this?

I hope York has had time to restock after we drank all the alcohol there last weekend. :D

    Have a good day!

:rotfl: Glad to hear you will be drinking beer! Have one for me will you? My female friend's all b*ggered off to sunnier climes for jobs and my male friends are useless and don't like pubs. Apart from one, who is studying this weekend. Pah! I have given him a list of my second job work dates and told him to plan his studying around that so at least our beer drinking time can co-incide and we can pretend we still have a social lifes! ;)

Always amazed at how completely utterly and totally my father can depress me, pretty much in an instant. Feel the need to pay him back and then stay down in the midlands indefinately. Need to stop listening to my brother saying 'Don't you think you should see him more?' Answer - 'No'.

It appears my dad has decided suddenly that my £7k owed to him is breaking the bank and severely curtailing his activities (i am going to come across as someone here with a sense of entitlement but seriously it doesn't seem to be curtailing solar panels, conservatories or foreign holidays - I think he actually doth protest too much) (DO NOT MISTAKE THIS FOR ME SAYING I DON'T THINK I SHOULD PAY HIM BACK, OR I DON'T INTEND TO PAY HIM BACK, OR I'M NOT GRATEFUL FOR HIM SAVING MY SKIN IN THE FIRST PLACE!).

He has become slightly obsessed (it appears) with the idea that he is going to die and be found two days later in the house (as this is what happens to people who live on their own). (This reminded me of the Bridget Jones alsation scene!)He doesn't want to die with me still owing him £7k and there seems to be 'no moves to pay this back'....and 'you're earning so you should be able to pay me back'.

Am I the only person who gets the concept that I am now worse off financially working, working 140 miles away from my house, my house with gas, electric, water, 100% council tax and a £420 mortgage each month? So now we move from a position of waiting for someone to decide they want my house to being MUCH MORE STRESSED ABOUT FINDING SOMEONE WHO WANTS MY HOUSE. As SOON as I let my house I will be able to start paying him back.
