You know there are some situations in America which lead me to believe they have some alternative views on what constitutes a good idea.
1. Encouraging a man with a dead squirrel on his head to run for president.
2. Allowing passangers to take a pet on board a flight like a cat or a dog.
Now let me ask you which pet causes an allergic reaction in a lot of asthmatics. .......... BINGO
Guess what ailment I have?
Guess what I am allergic to?
I've told the airline. Any cat near me and I'll be having a difficult flight. The people around me won't be getting any rest either as I cough and wheeze my way through the flight.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

:wave: Hello Katsu
Out at a beer festival.....briefly .......last night. They'd paid for a singer......a pub singer......think VIC REEVES on Shooting Stars
:eek::eek::eek:
Stayed for three drinks as my friend was there. The guy who was supposed to be meeting me there wasn't ........and didn't send a message to say he wasn't going to be. NICE!! He's going to be out at a meal tonight that I'm going to so that should be interesting.
Have paid £350 off the Tesco card but really have very little idea of where that one is at. Have a mattress to buy and a room to book in San Francisco so is still going to take a bit of a hammering! Also need to find an odd job man to fit my curtain rails - was told in no uncertain terms that the guy in the pub who had volunteered to do it (for money you understand not for the good of his soul) was "far too busy to be wasting time doing trifling jobs like that". Yes...you're ahead of me.....it appears I was talking to the wife!

This will be short....
Was going to provide you with an update on credit cards but that needs a bit of work to work out.....not helped by MBNA anticipating the closure of my account this month and closing my phone as a recognised number so that I can't check the balance....
Well it has a direct debit on it and this months should clear it. If not next months will. Bit annoying though!
Still have the job of checking mattresses this weekend. About to go and see the mattress store in town. The bed showrooms are awful. They stand at the end of the bed NOT recreating the ambiance of my bedroom and ask "How is it?" Well if you b*gger off for an hour and leave me reading my book I might be able to tell you.:rotfl::rotfl:
Lots of NSDs I think next week as I recreate the overspending of the first fortnight of the pay month and the significant tightening in the second fortnight.
Right better go and look at car insurance. How big a hike did George Osborne put in the budget? 9.5%. I know I have a newer car, I know it has 200cc more in the engine, I know it is parked in a much better area and my car insurance has gone up from £167 to £334.

Well was just wondering how many NSDs I need to get to pay day on 15th. However EDFs promise to refund over payments without you asking actually appears to be true!!
£357 refund today. :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Tres happy.
I'd go and get a bottle of wine but I'm on an NSD.:oDebt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

Busy day so far........
Have finished taking the hoops on the top of the living room curtains up.
Next week I will get them dry cleaned (they belonged to the last owners and then put a teal strip along the bottom so they reach the floor and tack double thermal linings to the inside (currently pinned - well it does the job!). It seems to make a difference.
Been to the bank
Paid £100 into my savings for the window in the back bedroom (the window fitter likes cash - I wonder why!). So have just over £500 for that.
Paid £100 on to the Tesco card - have to try and get that down to zero before we get to the States. I think it is now at £800but will be hit by a mattress purchase soon
That leaves £100 into the bank account so I don't starve / run out of petrol / run out of beer money :beer:
£60 is going to go on to the Barclaycard this afternoon by phone. I haven't got all the details required to make a payment at the bank although I do have a DD set up
Going to try out mattresses again this afternoon, then do a bit of sanding of a wall and then watch the rugby.
So looking at balances this is how they stand (I think!)
[STRIKE]MBNA £2434 - 80 = £2354[/STRIKE] Paid off/ BT
Barclaycard £2314 - £60 = £2254
CDL £3387 - 426 + 103 = £3064
Total = £5318
We creep inexorably closer to the sub £5k zone - should get there in October.
Right off to other bed shops to look at mattresses - seems to be a very limited selection!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.
