Be careful! My dd's boyfriend broke his elbow falling over various bits while putting theirs together!

    How did it go?

It didn't! It is still propping up the living room wall. I finished the bedroom curtains for one window instead!
May make a start on it tonight.

Verbatim. .....do I need to wear elbow pads?

    Hi Butti,

I've just spent the last few hours reading through your diary. Although my debts aren't too bad, I'm currently saving for a house deposit so I can relate to your attempts of paying bills/saving/having a social life all at the same time.

You've come a long way and it's made me even more determined to save save save!

    It sure is!
I must admit I skipped some of the middle part because my dinner was burning 😂 but it's amazing how far you've come, looking forward to future posts.

For that, read 'I have put the headboard together incorrectly' followed by 'I have broken a dowel taking the headboard apart' :(

Yep....there's half a dowel stuck in the headboard and the other half in the post. One of my drinking buddies (who happens to be a joiner - I mean how lucky is that!) won't be helping me with the slats like he offered yesterday. Hopefully he will be drilling the dowels out and I will be trying again and paying more attention!

At least the curtains are looking good. Whereas the previous ones moved when there was a fart in the wind these one's look like they'll withstand nuclear attack.

I am trying to find a hotel booking site for San Francisco that doesn't take payment until I stay. It's a bit interesting. Found some bargains in San Francisco with reasonable reviews but I would rather pay for the room in December after I have got back to nearly nought!

Right better go home and wait for the joiner! :o Ho hum!!!
