    Classic Butti today.
    Thought I'd left my lunch in the car.
    Turns out I'd left it on the car.

    We're in a low theft area obviously. ......or nobody else likes chorizo.

    Well the good news is;

    The mortgage balance is £89,601

    Yup.....we're in the 80's

    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
    I've paid off 2.6%

    (Just wish I knew how to attach a picture of Adam Ant or Spandau Ballet!)

    Have moved my Paris money out of harms way, i.e. away from my clutching mitts so that it's still there when I go (9 days before pay day!!! Complete madness.)

    Other debts are moving slower but I have put a £47 refund from work on to the MBNA card today so I shall report back on where that and my CDL are in about a week.

    One things for sure. I get back from Paris on 10th. Things will be TIGHT between then and pay day on 14th. Maybe I should get back to NSDs. :o

    Can't sleep. Think tonight's burgers might have hung around too long at the BBQ on Sunday - seem to be churning. It's either that or pondering the state of the labour party.

    Maybe I should read the remaining 500 pages of my book club book before we meet at 7.30pm. I'm a 100 pages in on a sort of dual life sliding doors sort of plot where our heroine has already nearly died twice (and she's only about 5!) and I'm feeling no affection for any of the characters.

    Oh and I found out today I have paid £690 for my energy and used £340!!!!!
    Yes, if that continues I'll have some money back in January.

    Well yes that was good news :o

    Unfortunately my finances are a bit like a water bed (or an inflatable bed if you like!!) so when we make progress on one area another seems to sqeeze out. I suppose it could be worse. I seem to remember last time I set up home it morphed by £2500 :eek::eek::eek: and then I added it to my mortgage because that made it manageable :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Hmmmmm

    Too much of having a good time you see :o

    Anyway going to have a tight 4 days and then go to Paris where I will be on a £50 a day budget.

    On return from Paris I am going to set myself a mini 'Make a dent' challenge. This will not involve making a voodoo doll of Susie from Countdown (I will have lost some of you here!) but making a positive contribution to my savings and a big dent to my MBNA card and wiping the balance from the Tesco one (Yes...and I STILL haven't bought a bed!) :wall:
    So I'll have a 4 month challenge to see how far I can get before we go off to Boston in December :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Next year needs to be quieter

    Today could have gone better....I've got my £260 safely out of the savings account to go and get Euro's. Now found the best rates are available online so need to put it back into the bank and then order online.....and if I'm putting it back in in cash I don't think it is immediately available anyway.

    How soon is money paid in at the counter available versus money paid in at the machine - anyone know?

    Oh roll on decent savings buffer and less debt and a bed. I shall report back on where I am at when I come back from Paris.

    So I went and talked nicely to the woman at Tesco ' s exchange counter and she has nearly matched my banks rate as a favour to me (or because she wanted to shut me up Maybe!)

    Have dug out 26 euros to supplement my spending :D

    Even better. .....things aren't as bad as I thought.

    £323 spent on the new card

    MBNA £2460 - 26 = £2434
    CDL £4462 - 213 = £4249

    So in total £6,683

    Rowing tomorrow at 8.30am :eek::eek::eek::eek:
    Lets hope it's better than Thursday when the Cox didn't notice the tree in front of us.
