£323 spent on the new card

    MBNA £2460 - 26 = £2434
    CDL £4462 - 213 = £4249

    So in total £6,683

    .

So it appears I have miscalculated on the Career Development Loan.

The interest has dropped from £213 to £103 per quarter. As a result the balance is not £4249, it is £3387!

I've also had bad / good news!
The Supertramp concert in December has been cancelled. :(:(:(
Can't get too upset though.....It does mean about £145 returned to me that can go on the MBNA card :T:T:T

Have got my money back from the Supertramp concert......so have ensured it doesn't have a chance to burn a hole in my pocket by paying £80 off the MBNA card

    MBNA £2434 - 80 = £2354
    CDL £3387

    So in total £5741

Still waiting for the money from the taxman :mad::mad::mad:.......still waiting for the return of my post office savings so I can put them in an account where they are not paying 0.00000001% interest or use them to pay off a credit card.

The Tesco 'bed' card is standing at about £600 with no bed  but have just paid £40 off it and will be paying £200 or thereabouts off it come pay day on Friday. I've also put £20 in savings (which are currently more accurately described as "what savings"!)

Aim to get MBNA close to under £2000 by the end of this month and then jump to a lifetime balance card. I am ultra cautious but think they (credit referency people) may get twitchy about me having another 0% card rather than one clearly designed for paying off credit.

    Tis feeling good Judi.

Just paid another £100 off getting MBNA down to £2284....still waiting for the tax back on my mileage. HMRC said by the end of July!

Helpful MBNA keep sending me letters about their 0% offer on balance transfers. They are strangely silent on the 35% rate the £2284 would attract. Maybe they've forgotten (or forgotten to tell me? Surely not. ....they seem really nice)

My plan (don't tell MBNA :rotfl:) is to shift that balance to another card and pay it off by the end of 2016. Coincidently this looks like exactly when the CDL will finish. How tidy!

    b. I'm pleased
    a. Money transferred now to MBNA would be on 0% (I have none to transfer). Existing balance would be on over 35%, all £2284 of it. Ouch!

Post Office has sent me a letter telling me that they are closing my account and paying me £55 plus interest :T:T:T:T:T:T

Plus it appears the previous owners were MASSIVELY in credit to the window cleaner about £85 in credit!
