Did complain to the garage and his response was "Send it back and we'll give you a refund".
That was the good news for today!

What is worse than being in a long chain for a house?

Yes that's right. I put an offer in approximately two months ago on 'my' house (have to watch that term with Z around!) and the owners have not found a house yet :mad:

As expected the Estate Agents have not passed through my request to them for electric & gas certification. I have to plan my email to them tomorrow to stress how flexible I am but how easily I can f*ck off and buy another house....particularly if they keep me hanging around for months and then get arsy about the above points.

Off to comedy tonight...a colleague who is muslim has suggested I get the bus tonight and have a drink (now that is what I call a true friend!)

You want to keep that in mind. This is not "your" house, this is "a" house until you get through that door and plonk "your" arsse down in "your" living room.

If they tart you around too much and you really want to put a breeze up their skirts, arrange viewings with the same Estate Agent on other properties.

Comedy was over my head the first night and about right the second night. Second night comedian called Ivo Graham. Eton educated with a very disappointed mother. Unfortunately I knocked my glass over which smashed in the middle of his set. Did seem to throw him for a minute!

100 mile journey tomorrow. Car manifold replaced Wednesday. Those two may be the wrong way round :eek:

If it's the exhaust manifold, then the worst that can happen is that it starts blowing. That can be *very* loud, but it's not the end of the world.

The jokes were about particular populations in the Indian sub-continent like Gujerati's. As I grew up in an almost entirely white northern population the nuances were lost on me. I felt a bit lost and ignorant.

I don't think any parent who'd paid for a private education would be ecstatic about their offspring heading into the precarious world of stand up.

If he makes it, it'll be well paid. I mean look at all the Cambridge Footlights people. Spent all that time and effort (and money) to go to Cambridge (and many not via the local Comp) and now sit in front of cameras spouting on a bit...
