    Target for August pay is to pay off and shut Virgin /MBNA card and to start overpaying Halifax.
    Sept I would massively increase payment on Halifax but I think it makes more sense to split payment between savings/ OD reduction and Halifax esp. as OD rate is about 19%! (Halifax 15%).
    Based on this policy I may clear Halifax by the end of the year and be left with a bit less than £1k on M&S card.

    I need to prepare for house move happening slowly or quickly and the possibility of my approval running out of time. If that happens having a lower OD with the bank and therefore reducing their exposure to risk would win me major brownie points.

    Not so great that your the house purchase is taking so long, but fingers crossed it'll happen soon.
