    Well two days of no spend has definately been broken with the purchase of a sale top for 15 quid and two bra's. I have needed a bra that fits (and doesn't undo itself when I breathe out) for a while. Assessment of spend needed tomorrow, methinks....:T. (There's no hope for some people!)

    Having said that I haven't spent anything for Xmas and Boxing Day.
    My cousin has confirmed that I am a member of the family by serving everyone except me and her curry. We had chicken pie as there wasn't enough curry. To make matters worse Gordon didn't eat all his curry and she fed the remainder of the curry to the dog. SO the dog got curry, everyone got curry, apart from me. :mad: (well...and her...but that's just changing the subject!)

    Off home or to my auntie's tomorrow. May get a no spend day in on 28th.

    WellI have reassessed yesterday's spend with the age old questions from Mr MSE;
    Do I need it?
    Will I use it?
    Can I afford it?

    To which the answers are;
    No
    Maybe but it's a bit insipid
    Not really.

    So the top will go back in the next few days.

    You can't go round making accusations like that!

    Especially as nobody likes gentlemen...

    I think I missed the discussion on the downsides of that...

    Looks like curry envy there.

    So here I am...back in my favoured place (the library) in my woolly hat (I look really "sick" and "down wid the kids")
    More a case of me taking it off and LITERALLY having that Cameron Diaz 'Something about Mary' spunk hairstyle (without the spunk - just incase you think my life is WHAY WHAY too exciting!) Tis really a bad hair day.:eek::eek::eek:

    Have had to leave a bag of pressies and a bag of bedding at my cousin's. Gave her son and his girlfriend a lift back from Derbyshire as they were coming back from my cousin's house to the same town I am living in. Seemed a bit mean to say "Cheerio I'm off" and leave them there to taxi it back. Having said that I only have a Toyota Yaris so three people, three suitcases, pressies and a pile of existing junk in the boot left no room for my pressies!

    Took my top back today and got a refund (£15). Then went to Matalan and promptly spent it on a cardigan £17.50.
    BUT to the important questions

    The answers are;
    [STRIKE]No[/STRIKE] Yes
    [STRIKE]Maybe but it's a bit insipid [/STRIKE]About every third day when I come in from work
    [STRIKE]Not really[/STRIKE]. Hmmm well you can't have everything.

    Which brings us to the budget. Tis worrying that I have never really cracked budgeting just saving money where I can. I do draw inspiration from either niccatw or Skinty (think it was niccatw) who never really cracked it either. She still has managed to virtually clear her whole debt whilst claiming an inability to budget.

    So I half budget. Stay with an overdraft to put parameters in, overspend for the first fortnight and then live on A Girl Called Jack recipes for the last fortnight. Think dealing with the Overdraft last is going to work for me because it puts parameters in.

    So to the better news;

    The Debt :beer:

    CDL [STRIKE]£10,000 [/STRIKE] £8419 16% paid off
    Dad [STRIKE] £7000 [/STRIKE] £0 100% paid off
    Friend [STRIKE]£280 [/STRIKE] £0 100% paid off
    Virgin CC [STRIKE]£3350 [/STRIKE] £2580 23% paid off
    HSBC CC [STRIKE]£4404[/STRIKE] £4155 6% paid off
    M&S CC [STRIKE]£1188 [/STRIKE] £1169 1.6% paid off
    HBOS CC [STRIKE]£1430 [/STRIKE] £1416 1% paid off
    O/D [STRIKE]£2200[/STRIKE]Going to try and stay under £1700!!

    So the GRAND TOTAL is

    £19,439 down from £29,852. That is 35% paid off.
    :beer:

    ...and there's still £700 - £1000 to come in the coming month.

    I shall have a look at the budget and report back. Still think we will be following 'Plan Skint' in the first fortnight of 2014!!
