Hopefully you weren't invited on the xmas night because they know you are going home but I know some folk are all about the couples - a friend who I usually see on our own invited me & LM for dinner but I would have appreciated the invite more when I was single:o and I think it would be possible for me to talk to her OH about something other than shoes or handbags...

I couldn't find xmas lights in the cupboard there which is ridiculously tidy despite knowing I put them in there a couple of weeks ago... they were there it's amazing how you can overlook things.

NO! and when I'd stuck my prompts to the camera stand they were too far to read them!!!

Now you know to write bigger.

I didn't see him, or only briefly, so I can't comment. My hands were shaking so much my finger spelling was really interesting.

How many signs are different depending on how your hands shake? ;)

Eye test to sort next week. Will distract from how overfed I feel after a work Christmas meal on Monday, Book club meal on Tuesday, Sign language curry on Wednesday and company meal on Friday. Yep it's looking both cheap and healthy next week - NOT! :A :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It will be healthy. All good food. Make you grow up big and strong... ;)

Couldn't find the bicycle pump last night for the detritus in the bedroom (mind you it keeps my ankles warm!!!) Then thought 'Where would I put it logically?' After checking the spare room, kitchen, cupboard under the stairs, under the bed, I went back to the shed. Within a foot of the bl**dy bike!!!

That's thinking like a man. No wonder you couldn't find it.

Meeting mortgage bloke at 9.10am and need to check budget now and budget before (before ARMAGEDDON - like when I had one job and one house!), like when I lived a 'NORMAL' life.

    What's a normal life?

Will be interesting to see what he thinks I can afford as the mortgage checker I looked at (even with my debts included!) reckoned I could borrow £138k.

I looked to see how much I could borrow from the Halifax. And said "Holey sheet." Or something like that.

I think this is more than I will need. I was thinking more along the lines of £124,995 which brings me in £6 under stamp duty.

    Ah yes...stamp duty...

Have seen a nice house that I may view in the next seven days but may be a bit close to the flood plain for my liking.

It doesn't matter how close. It's altitude that counts...

I like my feet dry and given that I was living in a three storey house 400ft above sea-level with a balcony to tie the dingy to, it's a situation I was used to! :D

I can see the advantages in that. I've moved to the lowlands here - only about 300ft above sea level.

You can see why my friends say I am a 'nothing in the glass' kind of girl.

That's the best kind of glass. How are you going to fit beer into it otherwise?

Anyway agents were on the phone this afternoon 'Do I wan't to view? We could sort an appointment out. Are you sure you don't want to?' How to say 'BACK OFF' politely.

    It begins with F...

I would rather see the financial bloke first and then measure the height above flood plain!! I won't be buying the one called Riverview in the flood plain.

Especially if the sign is above the letter box.

On the inside of the door...

The pub quiz last night made me a little sad. The ladies were planning their pre-Christmas day Christmas meal together with their husbands (told you it was a bit Stepford wives!). I'm going home that weekend (obviously someone else's home!!!) but that's not the point. I'm not invited.:(

Ah but single women are man-stealers - don't you know? Seriously, some women are funny like that, and your babeness will have made it worse.
and I think it would be possible for me to talk to her OH about something other than shoes or handbags...

    Unless he wears pink shirts...

Well that's the first night of this weeks marathon of eating done and dusted. Spent £16 in total and bought no drinks. So pretty good really.
Waiting for the bus now and I've had 3 glasses of wine so should get home in one piece.
Only have 80% of 'Lucky Jim' to read before tomorrow evening. No pressure!
