That's understandable - poisonous plants are always in demand when people see me.

Well I think it's becoming clearer (and a little overwhelming) what my new years resolution will be (starting on Monday!). Yes today the bedroom floor has eaten not one but two Christmas pressies - quite ironic really given that they were the hairy dieters cookbooks. Maybe the floor was hungry....maybe I need about three more boxes and to get ruthless!!

Very good Xmas meal yesterday. £3.50 spent on a glass of wine. Bloke next to me in the pub even added my drink to his round of 20 because I was going to have to wait for so long.

So went oop north at break neck speed on Saturday. Got two friends and a work colleague in (that I hadn't seen for years), then up to stay with my brother, back down to call in on dad and another friend and then back down.

    Quite tired :T

    Slightly surreal Saturday.
The second friend I saw works with the first friends husband. Has mixed views of him. Said "I think he's quite vain....I get the impression he's the boss at home and not challanged much".

So earlier that day I'd been sitting at the other friend's house when her husband had said, describing his role at home, "I'm the boss!" Unchallenged? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Yours truly says, "Well in my experience most men think that but they are not actually the power behind the throne". Hmmmmmm. Not sure how welcome I'll be next time. :rotfl:

The weekend was mainly about distributing. Did buy two bottles of Amaretto for £22 where one bottle double the size was on offer for £25!!! Nearly took a photo. That was in Mr M's.

Have bought two bottles of Bucks Fizz today in M&S for a fiver. Probably get two bottles of wine and that's me sorted for a trip to my cousin's. She has declined my red cabbage offer so I shall make that in that social wasteland between Christmas and New Year.

That's probably it for me in terms of major prose this side of Chrimblemouse.

Merry Christmas peepsies....I hope you all have a lovely day xxx

Actually, they're usually the power on the throne. But that can be blamed on a poor diet usually washed down with lager...

Doesn't have to be a social wasteland - you just need to find someone who is not at the sales.
