Butti's Journey: A matter of loaf and death

Well at the point of my money going in this month I had £206 leaway which I thought I'd better just leave there as it is December.
Have worked out the budget and allocated an additional £360 to the two main cards; HSBC 18.9% thank you (£200) and Virgin  0/32% (£160).....and now need to monitor spend this week. During concerted  and :xmassign: sort of things. Have driven in this morning which will keep the lid on alcohol consumption at the book club. Not sure I will stay for the book tbh. Need to check out whether it will be ruined by spoilers. It's Lucky Jim.
Have been and bought another pair of boots :eek::eek::eek:
Budget for post house selling rewards was £110 - 1 pair of boots and 1 DVD of Colin Firth.
So purchase so far: (oops- wrong term!)
1 pair of black boots £48
1 pair of brown boots £35
1 DVD £7
Not bad really. NO MORE boots allowed till next winter!
Quite pleased though that I have a bit of a cushion as following the sign language sight test I have gone and got my eyes tested. They have changed;
-1.25 in the right
-0.25 in the left.
Not dire but just enough to give me problems in sign language exams and worry me slightly on the driving front.
So have used the spare cash to get a £99 pair of glasses and can claim £50 back from the free health plan at work :T.
Plus my boss has put through the removal claim for £700. That will be going through sometime in the next month and will be allocated to HSBC credit card I think.
Right better go and collect the book from my car!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

That's pretty good vision TBH.
Especially at your time of life...skint_spice wrote: »I too love boots and they keep your feet warm:D
So do socks.
And they're cheaper.

I have proven this...somehow thinking prancing around like a sugarplum fairy when getting something out of the car in my socks will somehow negate the combined effects of a recent torrential downpour and gravity!

What? :ASocks aren't waterproof though
You need better socks...
Or is it photoshop that keeps your socks dry?(Butti states the bleedin obvious - and has wet feet!)
Your boots aren't waterproof either?I have proven this...somehow thinking prancing around like a sugarplum fairy when getting something out of the car in my socks will somehow negate the combined effects of a recent torrential downpour and gravity!
Avoid sugarplum fairies - they're more fattening than normal fairies...Fails every time!!!
I would never have tried it more than once. Not unless there was a whole lot of sweet-talking going on... :rotfl:"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Boots are lovely. Very happy with both pairs.
This week is going well. Doing lists for pressie shopping - I have overspent by a fiver! Two more to get on the way into work and one small one to get next week.
Xmas meals going well too. £12 for last nights sign language one and that was three courses. Tomorrow's work one is free but there's a three line whip on to ensure you go! Still it's food and it's free. The choice was amazing though- 1 starter, a veggie and non-veggie main and after people started choosing deserts it was pointed out that was just a LONG description of one desert 'but I'm sure it's really nice'.!!!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641.
