Hairy arms on 9 year old

What I want to know, is there a chance they will get less hairy as she gets older? Or will they get more hairy?
She is a blonde and the hair doesn't show much, more a golden sheen, but she asked the question the other day, why are my arms so hairy.

I don't want to know anything about how her body image shouldn't matter to her, nor anything along those guidelines thankyou.
Just a simple question.

They wont get less hairy, but might get darker. mine are dark and are so hairy, i shave them. Ive shaved my legs from being 12. Its unfortunate, but some people are just much hairier than others.

Just tell her she's lucky to have blonde hairs rather than dark ones like mine. Don't even get me started on the traumas of having a dark moustache/hairy chin and random dark hairs on my thighs.

Is she on the skinny side? The body can defend against heat loss by putting up body hair on arms. Well known in anorexics - not that I want to alarm you, but I would imagine in a child where the surface area to mass ratio is higher for a given body mass index, this would not be abnormal for body mass indexes above anything to worry about.

I had hairy arms as a child and now I have virtually very little, so yes it it can happen.

When I was younger, I had really hairy arms and was quite self conscious about them. Now, I really don't mind.

I can't say for sure that they're definitely less hairy, or even if they seem less hairy, but it might help your daughter to know that in the future she won't hate them so much.

Oh no. I feel for women who have that type of problem.

Why only if youre abroad though?

some people have hairy limbs - others don't. right now the 'fashion' is for hairless. It's a shame that a child is worrying about being 'hairy'. I would just reassure her that hair is quite common on human limbs and bodies - and when she gets older then if it bothers her there a loads of hair removal systems to choose from.
