    Eighth Anniversary Combo Breaker
We won the April competition but had similar issues. It worked out for us in the end but was very stressfull. Once the dust has settled, can I suggest that we come up with a single email that we all countersigned and send to Coca-Cola, Watchdog, and a few other places - some people won paralympic tickets - we may be in time to help them.

So all the panic was for what....? :rotfl:
The massive hassle of not knowing what was hapenning, whether it was worth having booked travel, all the wasted phone calls and time - and ESPECIALLY the inconsitent lies from ARK-H. Not sure why you and transient think this was a waste of time...

I agree- definitely think this should be followed up as you said and would willingly sign a group letter. I too have had many problems obtaining the tickets which has caused a great deal of un necsessary distress. Finally got my tickets yesterday after 2 weeks of relentless calls with relentless lies. They arrived without the travel cards and no visa card. Spent yesterday chasing that up. Just received travel card and visa card. Phoned for Visa Pin- card activated fine but there is no money on the card so now chasing that up! Not impressed at all.

Still have not received my tickets nor any detail response of whereabouts are my tickets..! All I have heard is that someone from the Head Office by the name of "Olly" should give me a ring by this morning and it has now passed noon!

Yeah exactly, I am sure that none of us expected to have to ring and hassle people repeatedly in order to get hold of the tickets. Mine arrived luckily the day before the event.

I also fail to see why people think the situation is funny or that we deserved this to happen somehow. Not everybody who won tickets got theirs so CocaCola and their decidely dodgy promotion company still have a lot to answer for.

A joint complaint would definitely be in order!

Some of you were ringing and going mad way way before the 24th July IIRC. Some of you say you had travel plans to make early, well the cards they sent redited up would have covered the travel, obvious a case of people maximising their win which I dont see an issue in but the point I am making is that you still would have had your travel covered so dont see the necessity of having to book early. The only real issue is that you werent aware of the venue or date and possibly having to make other arrangements for work or childcare etc. Well if you were going to have difficulties making last minute plans for the opportunity to be part of somethng special in your lifetime I dont see why any of you entered.

Companies as big as this dont often get things wrong and if they did would normally compensate very generously. They have provided and you have all received.

I can see your point of view, but my tickets visa etc came only 48 hours before i was due to travel to London and made it allot more stressful than it should have been.
In the end i had an amazing time but lack of information and being told different things all the time made it hard work.
I dont see anything wrong with us maximising prize just felt it was so rushed in the end, especially as my phone call came over a week after i should have had it.

Coke certainly didn't intend for it to be as rushed as it was and unfortunately it made travel arrangements difficult. There seemed to be a lack of understanding that people would be travelling in advance of their prize.

Our hospitality prize was won in April but the pack didn't arrive until Thursday 2nd, with the hospitality for the following Wednesday. Fortunately we were staying with relatives whilst down south, but if we'd been in a hotel things would have been more difficult.

The later tickets we won we should have found out details of by the 25th, and they were for the 7th. We didn't find out what they were for until 4.45 on 2nd August. Any plans we made in advance would have been useless as they would have assumed a London event, and the tickets turned out to be for the sailing in Weymouth.

I think Coke are aware of the issues and I don't think there's a need to complain further. Hopefully they'll sort things out in time for Rio ;)
