How frustrating. This has gone on and on for me too. I changed to this company because the first one I was dealing with were supposed to deliver within 4 weeks and at the 4 week point didn't contact me and when I contacted them they gave me a sob story about being another 4 weeks. Now I seem to be in the same boat with this one.
I have waited in today and was even given the drivers phone number which keeps going straight to answer phone. I wont go on as the story is the same as every one else's. Still waiting to receive the goods. Though i was offered a refund for my delivery charge about 4 weeks ago because the cabin was late. Im still waiting to receive that too.
Credit Card Company - here I come.
1. Just had a long chat online with Dana who assures me if I send a cancellation request I will get it. Lets wait and see.
2. Spoke with my credit card company and they will refund my money as soon as I have sent back the paperwork - Aprox 10 days in total. They are also (obviously) taking it up with SM Garden Buildings.
3. Three emails sent to the office@ address over the weekend. 2 through mac mail and 1 through outlook. No read receipts, no delivered receipts.0 -
I ordered and paid for a log cabin on the 24th August. After trying to contact the company and not getting very far on when it would be delivered I put the name in Google and this blog came up. I then started to chase harder and eventualy was given a delivery date. When I checked their web site and tried to trace my cabin it said that it was still under construction. I emailed the company to cancel my order and received an email back straight away saying that my cabin was about to be loaded on the lorry, should they go ahead and load or did I still want my money back. I agreed that I would wait - if the cabin was delivered on the week of the 24th September as they had stated. By Monday the 1st October still no cabin so I managed to contact them by phone and asked for my money back. While I was on the phone I received an email from them confirming that the money would be refunded. The attached documents were from Paypal (or were they?) stating that the money would be refunded in 5 - 7 days - as of today no money.
My credit card company has agreed to refund my money all £4,445 of it.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
I wonder if they have EVER delivered a cabin.
The cabin I ordered a 'Billys Cabin' is a very unusual shape. I paid £2,000 to have a concrete base built to this shape.0 -
Hi, thekarter, welcome to our little club! Seems you have the same story to tell as the rest of us! I must say the difference to yours and mine though is that you have actually had emails from them. The only ones Ive had are the ones to say I have made an order and one that came 19th September explaining why everything was running late. I have never received a delivered or read receipt for any emails I have sent them, including the ones with my bank details on for them to action a refund.
Just online chatted to Dana again. They have received at least one email as she acknowledged my refund to paypal request but they wont do that. She is now supposedly looking into my refund. I dont really care as my Credit Card company are dealing with it anyway.0 -
The whole thing is a scam ! We have traced everyone at sm
Have photos emails and address Uk and Europe !
They just keep your Money as long as they can.
The information we have is very interesting!

I was promised my refund (through email) last wednesday and it still hasnt turned up. My paperwork is back with the credit card company now so should receive a refund through them shortly.
Once received I shall be going to Trading Standards etc.0 -
i bought a cabin last week and 2 hours after buying i tried to contact them with no joy i looked online to find another number thats when i stumbled on the site i rang them again this time i got through and asked to cancel the order he said the money would be returned in 1 to 2 hours the next morning nothing so i contacted the bank who said the money had not left my account yet so they blocked the transaction and i got the money back in my account lucky escape thanks to this site cheers guys0

On the good news side, I have received my refund through my credit card. On the bad side, Sm have 45 days to appeal. However they have to prove the goods have been received by me.0 -

It seems i am not alone. I have had many problems with these but the lies were the worst thing. I oredered a log cabin on the 20th July and waited 7 weeks before being given the first of 3 delivery days. On one of my delivery days i contacted Catalin at 4.50pm and was told he was 20 minutes away but of course, no show..
After the 3rd failed delivery i asked for a refund and the compensation i was offered. I waited a week, contacted him via the live chat ( not answering the phone or e-mail ). I was told my money had been refunded. I asked for a receipt and 5 minutes later i had one. The date on the receipt was the 25th October and the time 3.19pm which corresponds exactly with time and day i was talking to him. I pointed this out but got no reply.
On the upside my money has now been refunded but no sign of my compensation ( £250 ). I am going to chase for this as i have an e-mail making the offer.
Ask for your money back and make him e-mail you a receipt.
Then go and find a company that not only sells log cabins but actually delivers them as well.
Just for the record. I am dealing with 1clicklogcabins at the moment who are being very helpful.0
