Hi
We ordered am log cabin in July, but have had nothing but excuses for non delivery.
I am concerned that their web chat has not been working for a week and I can't get through on the telephone.0 -
Hi,
I am getting panicky now! We ordered in beg of Aug but only when Catalin promised that it will be delivered on 20th Aug. I did not turn up - they said some manufacturing problem and it will definitely be delivered on 31st Aug - again no show. Since then I was talking to him on daily basis and every day he has a new excuse that its on way but truck broken down, then they have taken truck back to warehouse and will assign new truck! When i ask Catalin to give me contact number of delivery company - he always ignore that!
Till last Thursday atleast Catalin was picking the phone! But now they are not reachable on phone at all! i am really getting worried now - paid just under £3000 for log cabin and no contact! No reply coming back on emails as well.. More worried now after reading this thread as it seems I am not the only one and its a bigger issue than I thought!
I am going to wait latest till Tuesday else I will go to their office in Battersea!0 -
Just read the thread here & am so glad I have.
Was considering using this company, but my gut feeling is they're too good to be true. Having checked their website again today, now it says they're "upgrading their call centre, so please email instead"...more like they're fed up being inundated with phone calls from genuine people who've handed over their hard earnt money & been let down:(
....and amazingly they have yet another sale at the same time! .... I wouldn't bank
on their 'battersea office' address either...but I hope I'm wrong0 -
I orderd a log cabin from Sm Garden buildings on 16th of July.
Paid by debit card checked company out best i could but only trading since Dec 11. Website looked great and they have spent a lot of money on it.
Its now septemeber and no cabin, i have had some many excusses from catalin.
I guess its never going to arrive.
I have emailed everyday asking for refund no reply and now no telephone contact.
The company is owned by a Mr Charles Ramage which i have an address! The website Registrant is a Charlie Smith.
i am sending a person to the office on Monday think it will be empty!!
I am going to speak to trading standards as the website is still trading and i dont think anyone will get there items.
Also going to speak to watchdog.
SM GARDEN SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE STAY WAY0 -
Hi all,
I have pretty much the same tale to tell as everyone else here.
I paid almost £3500 for a log cabin, before I did I asked SM Garden Buildings what the lead time was, I was told 3 weeks. This sounded good so I went ahead with the order.
After 5 weeks, I began to start chasing the company to see where my cabin was. Basically I was fobbed off with various excuses and asked to wait another week or so. This happened 4 times until I was finally given a delivery date (8 weeks after my order was placed & paid for).
We waited in all day for the delivery & it didn't arrive, we were fed more excuses & told to wait another 2 weeks, we got another delivery date 2 weeks later, so we stayed in again & yet again it didn't arrive.
Following this I contacted SM Garden Buildings & was told 3 different stories about where my cabin was, the story they finally agreed on was that it was still in Sweden!
After this we were let down again twice. Enough is enough, After waiting 3 months for the cabin I am requesting a full refund today.
I guess I'm going to be out of pocket because I will need to demolish & rebuild the base to suit a different sized cabin now.
PLEASE AVOID SM GARDEN BUILDINGS – THEY ARE OUTRAGOUS LIARS – AT FIRST I ADMIT THEY HAD ME FOOLED, BUT AFTER A WHILE THINGS JUST DON’T ADD UP.0 -

Sorry to tell everyone but the office address is just a mail forwarding adresss and no one is there.
Think you need to speak to Trading standards as the website is still trading and i dont think anyone will get a refund.
Think the whole thing is a scam.
Just check out sm imports direct ltd for Mr rampage Address.0 -
I am also waiting for a log cabin I ordered in July & each week they keep telling me it will be delivered next week - If there is a delivery delay or the manufacturers are struggling with lead times I would much rather be told the truth than fobbed off like this.
I really don't know what to do now?
They are back online after being offline all last week.0 -
But, do you really think this is the infamous 'Dana Collins' on Facebook (type in SMBuildings & it'll come up)...afraid I can't post links here.
I see 'she' (if she exists in real life) will happily chat via the online chat system, but little else...
Has anyone contacted trading standards/police (if they're interested) re: this yet...and made any progress?
I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that this all works out for the best for you guys
Cheers

I have called Trading Standards , emailed watch dog and Rip off britain. I have another address for them if anyone wants.
Was told the other day i was getting refund but never arrived.
This is a complete scam, Police or Trading Standards need to get involved before they do a runner.0
