soworried i already use 80% value brands, with the exceptions of butter, beans and cheese (i use value marge to bake and value cheese to top sheperds pies ect just not in sandwichs ect) we like them all and don't notice much difference. we even like value mince because i bulk it out and use so little we don't notice the higher fat content, i've bought a few different ones reduced and find them scummy.DEC GC £463.67/£450

lol honestly if you forget it's value it's not so bad, i can't stand value gravy tho it's thin, i buy tesco's own, hubby won'te entertain value rice crispies either and value wheatbix is too tightly bound so we use tesco own or branded when on offer, value tea bags make a weak tea but i like it like that, value flour is fine, rice pudding is lovely, tinned custard has a funny colour but tastes ok, still prefer ambrosia but have you seen the price of it?, value strawberry whip is nice, all the biccys are nice, cleaning stuff is completely fine as are the rubber gloves, dishwasher tablets are ok my dishwasher has lights when it needs salt and rinse agent which drive me metal so i use both, i won't use value laundry liquid because i used the powder when i lived on my own and i'm alergic to it so won't risk it and my youngest has exzema so rather use surf. emm value colas ok if you put it in the fridge first, we use loads of value squash, value pittas and wraps are ok, pancakes have surup in them making them a slightly odd taste i'm not keen on, all value sweets in the big bags are fine i love the midget gems they taste like wine gums, value jams, peanut butter and honey are fine, all value biccys are fine, value crisps are ok, we used to buy value cereal bars there ok, kids like value tom soup, i'm not keen on tom soup so have no idea what it's like, value pasta abit stodgy and you can get decent pasta for not much more from amazon so i don't buy it anymore, i did when it was 9p, i don't buy pasta sauce so i have no idea what it's like, curry and sweet and sour sauce is nice, apple sauce is nice, value ham is surprisingly nice, value soft cheese tastes just like philly, value scotch eggs are nice, the baby bath is good and can go into soap dispensers, value shampoo isn't great neither is the conditioner, but i bought it on 3 for 2 so have some to use up, i used to buy value loo roll it was ok but lidls last longer and are cheaper if slightly rougher, yogurts are fine altho i like to make my own, value pizza is nice if you add cheese and some fresh ground pepper, valu garlic bread is lovely, meatwise we really only buy value mince, own brand pork shoulder and value gammon steaks for in pies, value fresh mince pies are quite nice, as is the frozen chips, the frozen fish is nice it does have the texture of cheap fish but it is nice enough for the price, value spagetti is nice aswell.
Thats my recommendations and opinions but i think these all depend on the person.Sorry it was so long.DEC GC £463.67/£450

That's the thing isn't it. At that price you can afford to try it and see.
I very rarely shop at MrA due to distance but I am going near one this afternoon so I will try a few bits.
I am also going to grab some of the sausage rolls for 50p if they have them.:D£36/£240

quintwins i agree with your list totally, with a few exceptions. I don't like any cheap teabags - wish i did, as i go through gallons of the stuff. Value salad cream is not very nice, but the mayonnaise is fine. We use persil liquid for laundry, but did used to buy a box of bio powder to soak grill pans etc. Have also bought value sausage rolls (the 8 pack) and they were fine. The ham is ok, but for a slight bit xtra i find the tulip one better. Not too keen on the crisps, but then i usually buy them from AF or similar. And finally, chips, the value ones are okish, you get a few bad bits on them, but i find for 20p more the 2kg country house steakhouse chips are lovely.0
