    Evening :)

A flying visit from me as only just home from a frantic day at work (not even a lunch break in the sun :( ) and heading straight out again.

Test 1 tonight - dinner with friends. But it is sushi and I have been too busy to eat more than a salad today, not even any snacks.

Will reply properly tomorrow, hope you all have a nice evening :D
Proud to be a moneysaver :)

    Good morning.
I fell off the wagon a bit last night, had lots of chocolate and a few glsses of wine. Oops!
We are off to the cinema this morning (Orange Wednesday) to watch ice age 4.
We are going to Pizza Hut for lunch after, so i am planning on filling up on the salad as much as possible!

    Have a great day!

Morning all. Good/bad day yesterday food wise, had a bowl of fresh fruit and fat free yoghurt for breakfast, then cycled 5 miles to nearby town for lunch....Salmon fishcakes and fries so not very healthy, but cycled 5 miles back which hopefully burnt off some of the calories!

Too hot to eat much last night, I had a diet yoghurt and a few crisps, no wine for the second night running.

Off for another bike ride today, we may be having a carvery lunch (£3.50 from Crown Carvery when you buy a drink), but if so will be good for the rest of the day.

Hoping to have dropped a pound or two by Friday...

Once I start on the wine I lose all willpower too, so it's better if I don't even have a glass...I allow myself a glass or two at the weekend and try and stay off it on week nights. But I have been known to fall off the wagon quite regularly too!

Well, not sure eating at my desk & posting counts as much of a lunch break but hey!

    Afternoon :)

Sorry to hear about your struggles to find work WTB. I can understand how frustrating that is. I live in the busy south east so have been lucky enough (to date!) not to have had problems, but I do work in the public sector and we all know how that's headed...

Well, another one for the 'oops' brigade here :o (what was it about last night??!) I had a lovely sushi dinner but of course as we are eating & socialising probably ate a fair bit plus we drank 2 bottles of wine.

However - after being told last night I did some research & it seems wine is very low carb :jObviously the overall calories in it, plus its ability to reduce willpower (ahem!) still mean its best just avoided, but that's some good-ish news at least.

Today will be 'less good' but I think I am headed in the right direction. I definitely need to do some exercise & get out of the office at lunch for a walk. Just getting home too late & too busy each evening to be able to fit anything in after work at the mo.

    So today:
    S: Banana & a boiled egg
L: wild rice salad with feta
    D: duck & veg noodles
    No wine!!
Proud to be a moneysaver :)

    Hi all :)
Relieve that i wasnt the only onje to have had an 'oops' yesterday ;)

Today was better. We went to the cinema and then Pizza Hut. I did reasonably well at pizza hut. I had 4 (!!!) slices of pizza (the thin base ones with loads of veg on them), tons of salad and no pasta. Also i didnt have any ice cream, except for a lick of my sons spoon!
Could have done better by not having as much pizza, but i think i made up for it by not having the ice cream, even though i was very tempted!

Lucy- i havent ridden a bike for ages! Last time was at centre parcs a few years ago, and that was the first time in many years! Sounds like you were very energetic with your cycling!
You are right re the wine, it always leads to eating too much, so i am better off not having any at all!

GFN- the job situation is just dire here, although i keep on applying and applying. It can be quite soul destroying at times, and i have to be VERY money conscious, especially with the summer holidays. I started saving as much money as possible from April onwards, so that we would have things to do over the holidays.

Well, i dont think we'll be having much for dinner this evening, maybe sandwiches or some salad, or both.
I really need to get some food shopping done, but cant face it in this weather! We are having a day at home tomorrow, so i might get up extra early and get it done first thing.

I will be following the Paul McKenna plan.

Thanks, his method is eat consciously, eat when hungry and stop when full.

http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1137130 This explains it all, it works 100% I used it a few years ago and lost 1.5 stone no bother at all. Got lazy and tried to speed up weight loss using atkins - got into bad binge/diet cycle and ended up putting on 2 stone!!! I used slimming world recently and lost 10lbs, of all the 'diets' SW is the best for me but I still fall off the wagon and binge so Paul McKenna is better i think for me.
