Hi guys,
Can I join in? Need to lose a stone to start with (and then probably another couple afterwards!). Was doing quite well at one point but have drastically let things slip so need to make more of an effort foodwise and add in some exercise again. I tend to need things that are quite quick though as rarely have a lot of time freeI was doing the Shred before so think will try getting back on that again for a start.

Weighed in today and have stayed the same. Now I know I haven't been following the 'rules' 100% so guess i'm not too surprised really. Really need to knuckle down. Did a bit of stress eating on saturday at work!
Today is a new day so will make sure I pay attention to what I eat and eat it super slow.
Really need to do a food shop, i'm like old mother hubbard. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Morning all,
flissh if you can't remember what you were I would say rather than depress yourself, assume you stayed the same. What type of exercise do you like doing?
WTB measurements were sure an eye opener and not in a good way! Hope you feel better soon, it horrible when you wake up feel rough.
podperson I've just started too and have found that having somewhere to 'report' really helps me stay focused. I've been using some Rosemary Conley workouts (10 minutes each) as I have to work it round the kids coming in and out. I don't know who would be more embarrassed to see me jumping around, me or them!
gunsandbanjos if you stayed the same you didn't put on which is a huge bonus! One day at a time and you'll be looking and feeling better in no time.
Have a brilliant day everyone!!Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

Very true Wyre, very true.
Plus i'm super stressed right now, my beloved gran was diagnosed last week with terminal cancer and I visited her yesterday andwas totally blown away by how much she had deteriorated in such a short time. Ate without any conscious thught yesterday as a consequence, need to get a better handle on my emotional eating. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Thanks Wyre - I have a similar problem, I have very little room in the bedroom to do any exercise and OH is usually in the living room - and while he tries to be supportive and not laugh at me I can see him struggling sometimes :rotfl:I used to use the spare room but it seems have been taken over with random piles of cack at the moment so need to sort it out tonight I think.
gunsandbanjos - am so sorry about your gran, you've done so well not to gain under the circumstances, I'm an awful emotional eater as well.
Well I have done a meal and exercise plan for the week so am feeling more positive about it now. Will pop to the shops on the way home from work to get some bits in for the next few days - it's my 'all the direct debits come out week' so will need to wait until Friday to do a bigger shop. Am just going to try and do the Shred this week and see how I get on - have my mum coming to stay this weekend so might go a little pear-shaped then but will try and stay on the healthy eating at least, and we usually end up walking lots so that will be something.0 -
Hi everyone!
Welcome podperson! I need to lose more than 1st too, but slowly wins the race!

Havent felt that hungry at all today, probably due to being unwell, but looking at the brightside0 -

I'm so so rry to hear that GAB, it's scary isnt it. Sending you and your family lots of strength.x.0 -
So sorry Gunsandbanjos about your Gran. Thinking of you xx
Had a good day today. Went to the seasideand sat watching the windsurfers, and amazing at how many dogs were playing there, was truly lovely and quiet. Even the kiddies seemed content to play quietly, fitted my mood nicely. Had a long long walk down the prom and back again, legs really aching but it's good for us.
No ice-cream, no lager  did I really GO?
Breakfast was poached egg on toast.
Lunch tuna salad and a yoghurt.
Dinner is pasta in a tomato-(heavy with vegetables) sauce.
I've snacked on a few grapes here and there - I've put the bowl of grapes on the dining table and everytime I pass it I have a few. Means I don't forget they're there and let them go mouldy to throw away  and I eat them while they're as fresh as fresh.
Plus much better than le fromage which is my biggest downfall.
I have promised myself le fromage on toast IF I've lost weight by Friday. That's going to be my [STRIKE]bribe[/STRIKE] bonus :rotfl:0 -
ARGH...really fancy some chocolate and wine this evening.

MUST RESIST!!
Cor, me too, in a big way! And I have a pack of my favourite biscuits sitting on the side and am literally fighting myself tooth & nail not to devour them.
So sorry to hear about your grandmother gunsnbanjos
I know it's a Friday weigh in but the scales are my new 'toy' so I weigh myself daily. I've put on 1.5lbs over the weekend which is no surprise as my mum was visiting (I sense a theme here...!) and as well as Thai on Sat we had a pub lunch Sunday followed by wine, ice cream & biscuits - over the rest of the afternoon rather than in one go I have to add!
The sugar craving is just because I'm exhausted. Spent 2 hours painting the garden fence this evening when I got home, and life is very full on as we are desperately renovating the final bits + garden of my current place as I'm renting it out & buying a major project to do up. Then there's the mass of phonecalls, chasing & paperwork which I'm trying to fit in around my busy working day & today I'm just dead on my feet. The mortgage valuation is Friday so we must get it decent by then!
Mum did bring a load of homegrown veg for me though. So for dinner I marinaded duck breast in a sticky Chinese style sauce and had her beetroot, lettuce, bean & feta salad with it, plus salad for lunch.
Hope you are feeling better WTB. And I hope everyone has a nice evening. Very early night for me!Proud to be a moneysaver0
