    Hi All

£300 again for me please- I will update signature as and when
This is for 2 adults and 1 very spoilt cat- this is for all food inc eating out (but not booze) cleaning and toiletries

This is my third month- £85 over 1st month, £61 over 2nd month so am DETERMIND to hit or come below target this month

I think the trick for me is staying out of the big 4 sm as much as possible- there is just less tempattion when shopping in A*di and the local market

I will keep an eye on sm websites to ensure i dont miss out on any 2nd purse bargains ;)

Hi, I wonder if I might join you? I've not been keeping to the budget recently and don't want it to get out of hand, which it has done since I've been doing slimming world. However I have lots of meat in the freezer and so I'm going to try and keep under (well under if possible!!) £250. August is a 5 week month and will start on friday 27th. The budget will include cat food and litter but not petrol or days out as these are already budgeted for. I'll try and post everytime I spend as I really need to get back some control.

Hello, may I join in too?
I also try to keep to a budget but almost always overspend (especially when I let OH do a shop!).
I did a full stock check today and with some careful planning I shouldn't need to buy too much.
For 2 adults and 1 child (not inc. dogs, cats, chickens, mice and fish - they have a separate budget I manage to stick to!) £105 starting on the 31st of July.

Still posting in July until the 31st but can I be put down for £230 in August for food, toiletries and cleaning stuff for me, OH and the cat? This seems very low to me compared to the £300+ I was spending only 2 months ago but I'm confident it can be done as OH is really beginning to get on board and my August is only 4 weekends :)

    Good luck everyone!!

I'm also still posting in July, but I'm adding my standard £130 a month for August now, so I get the email alerts and read the thread (which is like a daily ritual now!) :D. If I don't, when I 'officially' join on the 1st August it will take me 3 days to catch up :rotfl:

Good luck everybody in August. I'm hoping it will be better than July for me. :o

Welcome to all new peeps and good luck with your budgets! :j

My July budget got very confused (and was finally abandoned altogether ;)) when I started seeing my Nice-New-Man frequently and discovered we both enjoy a mooch around SM's
    together!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I will stick to £300 for August and that will start on August 1st and will TRY and get back to being well organised again :A

I have YS beef joint (£1.35) cooking in SC for sandwiches for the week and HM LO quiche to eat up today or freeze.

Have plenty of fresh fruit and enough milk so planning on a NSD today but think I will need milk tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone and enjoy the sun! :T

Hello, I am joining in August, a bit higher than normal budget as it needs to include my birthday party food and booze, so £450 to feed 4 adults + 1 occasional guest (family member). Does not include cats because I buy in bulk for them, but includes all toiletries. Starting with a fairly well stocked dry foods cupboard so it should work well. Also, about to stock up on olive oil (good offer in Mr S at the moment) so will have it before the challenge starts. Wish me luck, I know I can do it!

Edited to clarify: the olive oil offer is only online, as I found when I trekked there in person. But it worked well for me as I used up the £10 off voucher for first time orders as I had never ordered from them online before. So I am now all set for the challenge!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Didn't do too well in July so am drawing a line under it and requesting a £150 budget this month please - will include formula milk and any special toddler meals in that too. My month started yesterday, need to get OH's receipts from him though to work out the spend as we bought nappies as well.
