Spent just under a fiver of the £20 I am allowing myself this week in Mr S last night on basics spuds, basics bacon bits (didn't know they did these), a YS GF loaf and some fennel seeds for that lovely Jamie sausage pasta recipe posted recently. I love fennel:) I will add the total spent out of the £20 when I have been to Mr A on Sat/Sun.

I am very busy this weekend but want to leave my shop as late as possible as I don't need any of the fresh bits until Monday really. Meal plan seems to be working although DH said I don't want pie last night when I had made it so I said well you will have to make something else for yourself as this has been defrosted and needs to be cooked now. Funny how he ate it after that;)

On the way home from Mr S my clutch went and I am now skinter than a skint thing as my holiday savings will have to go towards the parts to repair it. I am so glad I married a man in the trade as otherwise the car wouldn't be worth the parts and labour cost of mending it.

I am sick as a chip though as I have been trying really hard to raise/save some extra money this month:(
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

Spent £37.44 in Mr T today so have updated my signature. Stocked up on olive oil, mince, chicken, fruit and veg and other essentials and used my £5 off a £40 spend voucher plus £1 off chicken fillets so am pleased with that. I've got a £4 off a £30 spend voucher to use next week too! It's a long month for me this month though so need to start reining it in if I can. :)

Aww feel for you, why is it when you are trying really hard something usually crops up goes wrong etc.:(

I got a shock this week, Customs duty charged on an ebay order,
13.00, whats really madning is that I bought two of the same item, thinking to save postage and I now find if I had bought them separate I wouldnt have had to pay the charge.Oh well live and learn eh.

(hugs) XSpender my clutch went the last year and it ended up costing me £700 :( I feel your pain. I hope things pick up for you soon.

On a positive note, I just checked my clubcard vouchers on Mr T's site and discovered I'd £5 in unspent vouchers. That will do nicely :D I think I'll put a quid to it and buy meat, parcel it up and freeze it. Got my normal vouchers through today and got another £4, so will add a quid and take advantage of the 3 for £10 on meat trays, I think!

Beyond that, have added £13.56 to my GC tally. Really need to get a few NSDs in... Tea tonight is probably going to be a Black Bean Chicken with Noodles, using chicken thighs to make it a little cheaper. Hope everyone has a lovely evening - am off to update my sig.

    K xx

Hello please can I rejoin, last year I joined in for about 7 months and about 5 months the previous year but something always gets in the way and the GC drops by the way side. I have really lost focus over the last few months and have no idea what we are spending on groceries :o

Please could you put me down for £310 for August, this will be for all food including takeaways and meals out, drinks including alcohol, sweets, toiletries, cleaning products, toilet rolls, medicine & prescriptions.

    Spends update:
    1/8 £0/£310
    2/8 £0/£310

Off to read as much as I can and then try to keep up.
