I still have a scar on my tummy where I accidently steam ironed my muffin top!:eek:
My sister ironed wearing her underwear and an open dressing gown when she had a big pregnant belly. No need to guess what happened.

I am sort of neutral about ironing - I dont love it but I dont hate it either! I usually wait until there is about half hour to an hours worth - then put on Create and Craft or something that doesnt grab my attention too much and just ......do it!
Mind you - ironing mountains taking a few hours would annoy me - they have in the past when the kids all lived at home, and my fantasies were not 'sexual' but involved ironing services!0 -
I hate ironing. I buy as few clothes as possible that need ironed and the stuff that must be ironed gets sent away to be done.
My cousin finds ironing therapeutic and irons everything. I just can't imagine much worse than an evening spent ironing socks and towels.0 -

my mum LOVES ironing. she irons socks, towels and even bras. I remember a cheesecloth blouse I bought (yes ok, that was hippie era) which was cream and beautifully crinkled.........(any one else had one?) so she boiled it white and ironed all the crinkles out! I cried, then was furious and she couldnt understand why!0 -
Ironing is a swear word in this house :eek:0

meritaten - did you manage to get it re-crinckled again?
I remember when my mil was round for a cuppa and I was in a rush, she was tutting that I just threw all the underwear into the draw (and there isn't much to some of my dd's). certainly never heard from dh that ironed boxers are comfier though!0 -
My daughter thinks that I warm her clothes for her so that she doesn't have to put cold ones on. One day it'll dawn on her that the reason her school clothes get 10 minutes in the tumble drier is so that I don't have to iron the things. I hate ironing, only do it if I really really have to, and regularly go for the creased look!
A friend of mine irons everything - down to her babys socks. Lifes too short!0 -

Perhaps it depends on the style of boxer? My hubby prefers a jersey-like boxer with a pouch like thesewhere the testicles are nestled and not these
where the they're left to hang free.0 -
I don't mind it too much once I get started, it's the getting started bit that I hate. As long as there's something good on the telly, I can get through a pile of ironing.
If I can get mine & hubby's work clothes out of the dryer straight away & hang them up, I don't have to do them.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 027

I hate ironing! Used to send it out but never get round to it now. The ONLY things I iron are OH's work shirts (even though he mostly has non iron ones - they still are not good enough) and the occasional pair of his smarter jeans. He gets his suits etc dry cleaned and I don't iron ANYTHING of mine. I have the odd dress that I sometimes think looks slightly crinkly, but not enough to prompt me to get the iron out...anyway, by the time I've driven to work my clothes are wrinkled anyway so what's the point in ironing in the first place!0
