Ironing - love it or hate it?!

Hey everyone. After spending months these wonderful forums, we've finally got our house sorted and we can get on with life!!!
I was arguing recently with a friend about how on earth some people really love ironing (like my mum)! (I'd love to give her all mine but she's a few hundred miles away)
Does anyone have any tips for how I might get through all those piles of the stuff?

Do what I do and get your spouse to do it
My husband does ALL the ironing in this house <insert smug icon> :rotfl: I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Only iron what you have to. My friend loves ironing and irons everything that she can get under an iron including socks, towels etc, she will iron them twice for fun. Me? I hate starting the ironing but once I'm started I quite enjoy it but then i don't do a lot. If someone wants something ironed that I wouldn't bother with eg. I don't iron the bedding  then as soon as they're old enough they do it themselves. The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0

I hate it so I don't do it. Occasionally I might have to, but generally I use the most appropriate wash on the machine; don't spin on the highest setting as it adds to the creases; and I give it a good shake and make sure it is put on the line pulled out rather than scrunched up. Works very well.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

I don't mind it, but I dont actively seek it out either.
I try to fold and smooth out creases as soon as the washing is done, but i will iron the kids school shirts as i like them to look well presented. I probably do half hrs worth every 2-3 weeks.
Kids have small clothes still though and will make a shirt do 1-3 days.0 -
I loathe it and wear clothes that don't generally need to be ironed e.g. T shirts.
But if I do have to do some ironing, I set the board up in front of the telly so I've got something to help it pass more quickly.0 -
Iro- what?
Mine's used solely for wondaweb and interfacing; I can't remember the last clothing item I ironed.

I don't iron.
Anything that really needs it gets done just before it's worn. We have a tumble drier and things get folded neatly once dry."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
