MAJOR help needed... typical LA

To be perfectly honest I think you are being too soft. I don't see why you would even think about letting this shower into your home.0

He doesn't seem to be too good at it by the looks of things!

I am BUT when I have people telling me the police won't help and the TRO was 'stuck in the middle' it feels like its me against the LA and no one is actually going to back me up except you guys!
Can you all come over? I'll make cake...0 -
Most TROs dont do injunctions but I do. It's 3 forms to fill in, £175 court fee or free if you are on benefits and can be got the same day. It's called an Ex-parte injunction.
I'm very surprised at the reaction of the person you contacted, I certainly wouldnt have been so conciliatory. Maybe it's because they arent a TRO and arent so confident of their powers, but as you state, you dont know what the agent said to them when they called.
Fight your ground on this Marlie and dont let the police intimidate you either. They often side with the landlords. If they insist you have to let the agent in, then do so and we can guide you through action afterwards0 -
Whereabouts are you? If you're near me I'll come over.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

I can only work for tenants in my Borough Marlie and if you had rung my council you would have got me anyway. I'm South East London.
You have a really good case. Dont let it drop, even if the police insist that the agent can enter.
Bear in mind how this all will look to the prospective purchaser? I would ask for their name and address to use as a witness later on. Agents wont like the bad publicity.
Call ARLA now too and tell them you are threatening legal action against one of their members, see if they will intervene0 -
I am in York.
Thanks Ben, as I said I dont believe he was a TRO no, but 'as close as' When I googled TRO York nothing came up so I just rang the council and explained and thats who I got put through to...
It seems as though they are going to come in whether I like it or not today, SO I have written a letter for them to give them.
It basically says I am revoking permission for anymore viewings and will treat any further communication from 3 named agents as harassment and they will not be responded to (EA in charge of selling, director and some nasty woman on the phone)
I have stated in the letter if any other agents wish to discuss a viewing with me it will be with my express permission only, and if it descends into emails like yesterday then I will ignore the correspondance. But I will not speak to those involved yesterday.
I know there are FAR too many 'give ups' in that letter, but at least if they have it in writing my position is stronger?0 -

I dont think the viewer is coming anymore. Not according to the council guy anyway... I have told him that I am not letting the bully from yesterday in so hopefully it will be another uninvolved (so far) agent.
I wish I lived in London

When this afternoon's nonsense is over let me know the outcome and I'll write the letter for you, chapter and verse on what the various breaches are and make your refusal tot allow access stand up legally.
Good luck0 -

Don't complicate things by telling them who can and can't come for future viewing, just make it a flat no, otherwise you will go through stress with every communication.
I am surprised you are resigned to letting them in today. It's like admitting defeat ( although admittedly I am a stubbourn moo)0
