Well....
placed my order on March 27th (yesterday afternoon)....just checked my online status and it's already been dispatched!
I wasn't expecting it until next week (estimated date for delivery was the 4th April) so got it for delivery to my home as I'll be on holiday next week! Oops, I wonder what happens if you arn't around to receive it?!

what email address did you use to get in touch with them ? Maybe I will try that as I dont seem to be getting much joy and now I am not sure if they have cancelled my order ot not so if I re-order I might end up with twice what I wanted !"The time is always right to do what is right"0

Thinking of buying the dell 1501, can anyone tell me if it has a pcmcia slot on it as i use a vodafone data card quite a lot?

Not sure if it is available in the UK yet
If its a standard PCMCIA slot, the Vodafone card will work fine!
Dell don't change fundamental connection standards like that
However, it 'could' be an 'ExpressCard' slot, and if so, then yes, it's smaller (but also faster)

I think you will find that Dell now fit ExpressCard slot on all their laptops. My Vodafone card doesn't fit in my lappy 1300 bought last year!0 -
That's a bit annoying then, can you get it in USB form? Otherwise there may be pcmcia to expresscard adapters?

Apologies for the very stupid question, but would this have an ordinary ethernet port?0
