ive never used a AMD® Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL56 , how fast will it be, in terms of general day to day use?

whats the intel duo core equivalent to it?

i want to get this, but something is telling me to go for core2duo, but thats £200 more :(

any last minute persuasion for me to get this deal?

Just been reading though this thread, very very good deal I am tempted to sell my upgraded 1300 to buy one of these.

About the processors, according to the expert guys on the dell notebook review forums, the AMD TL50 (this one) is roughly the same in terms of performance as the intel pentium t2050 chip. However the AMD TL56 is better than the intel chip. I am 100% sure this is correct and the benchamrks show it to. Also the ATI X1150 graphics the 1501s have are far superior than the intel gma950 that the bigger brother 6400 has. All in all the 1501 is the better buy, especially the one with 2gig of ram. Its a bargian not 2 b missed!

EDIT: These are crazy prices, you will not find a better deal elsewhere either now or in the distant future (sorry for stating the obvious btw lol i could not resist)
  • If you bought one of the laptops you might be interested in one of

This backpack (£9.99) or this carry case (£7.99).

    both are in Play.com's sale.

Slightly off topic (but related). What do you do if the order hasn't tracked through Quidco for more than a week now? I have used Quidco for ages and none of the previous transactions were missed. I checked my browswer's settings and everything and nothing has changed from before.
I looked on their website and couldn't find a straightforward answer.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????
  • help - i added one to my basket last night but had top check which card to use

Just tried to order it this morning and it no longer seems to be available

Any other ideas please for a similar spec at same price?
    donstermonster :D
  • I just tried adding to a basket and it looked fine to me - though I didn't buy.

    Try again?
