how do you look at your order invoice on the Dell site? all i can get up is the order status page, i just wanted to look at a breakdown of costs but cant seem to find it

Still not got my order in.
Does anyone know the speed of the 1501 AMD Athlon compared to the 6400.
Can someone give me some info on the true life option.
It costs £23.50. but on some other laptops it shows £35.50
Why would this be. Are all screens TFT as it does not say on all.

for the 6400 is it still 100 in the first box

Mine arrived this morning; delivery to be between 8am and 12noon. Time of delivery: 12noon!!!

As I suspected it comes with the 32bit edition of Vista Home basic. Should I phone Dell and ask them to send 64bit disc? Or is it even worth bothering about. Thanks

You wont see any speed improvements with the 64bit edition, and most software isnt designed for 64bit vista use anyway. Check out the 32bit vs 64bit benchmarks of vista to see what i mean!

As time passes and Vista spreads, 64 bit will be the norm, and more drivers will become available...
I would ring and ask for it. Even if you don't use it now, you will want to at some stage!

I've just ordered the more expensive £421 version of this laptop with a bigger battery. The speed and memory upgrade was worth it

Is only having Vista basic going to be a problem ?

AMD® Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL56. Can so one tell me what speed this runs at ?

To use it wireless do you need one of those cards that go onto a pci slot or is it inbuilt so no card needed ?

I am getting some what confused about the Dells that seem to be currently on offer and knowing which is the best to go for to get value for money and ensure it is a little future proof and will last for a good few years preforming at a reasonible speed.
