Mine is my iPad and obviously internet connection.

Being a working single mum I am very much in favour of anything time and labour saving.

I too like wipes, especially the flushable ones, as my DS is a bit hit and miss so great for daily swish and swipe for the loo.

And I'm not one for skimping on heating, if its cold, its cold!

Also like my car, I like a nice, comfortable reliable car and am prepared to pay that bit extra for it.

Hopefully I can be mse in other ways to allow me these little luxuries! But they are not things I'd be prepared to get into debt over...

Wine (again) and quality teabags - being a tea addict (about 12 cups a day) it would save me a fortune annually if I could stomach shops own labels :)

Magazines for me and lately patchwork fabric for my new hobby. No cutting up old clothes for me(actually hard to find cotton) has to be new fabric. My excuse is I'm building up my stash for when I retire so in a way it is money saving :rotfl:

    My car
    gin
    the occasional takeaway.......

I will be banned from the OS board. :rotfl:
To be fair, I am very frugal and research holidays to get best deal. Car is second hand and really needed, due to poor public transport and varying shift patterns. Gin, usually bought as a present from family, who know I am an old soak at heart.

Takeaway, when I just cant be bothered to cook, well that I have NO excuse for!!

Just wondering what all you OSer's find is the one non OS item/habit you just can't give up.

For me it's kitchen (and toilet) cleaning wipes. :o I hate having to use a cloth or sponge on my surfaces, I think they trap too many germs. :o

For the toilet, what about using scrap material you can bin after each use - old bedsheets, clothes, towels, etc. destined for the bin, cut into strips? I tend to save the old sponges for one last grimey job before I bin them, e.g. cleaning the outdoors food recycling caddy, the loo, the bin, etc.
For the kitchen sides I often use kitchen roll, not as OS as reusing a cloth but like you, I think it can be more hygenic to bin them afterwards. Tend to get 4 rolls for £2 so I think at 50p a roll they're a lot cheaper than wipes! I just wipe bits of food etc off, then spray the sides down and go on with cleaning other areas like the floor so that the spray has time to soften any dried on food etc. and then wipe with a kitchen towel and 99% of the time there's no need to scrub them down.

I think mine might be frozen branded pizzas. OH is fussy so although I've managed to get him to try Iceland's own brand (fancy one, not the cheapest - we weren't overly impressed), he definately wouldn't go for a "basics" style and I think HM might not go down well either! Infact, I think I got lucky converting him to frozen at all as he was previously insistant that the only shop pizza he would eat was fresh Pizza Express ones, otherwise it was Dominos!
Managed to find a few that are firm favourites, e.g. Casa Di Mama and Chicago Town ones, so when they're on offer we stock up. Tend to chuck on some extra toppings, e.g. red onion (I keep a stash chopped in the freezer, ready to scatter on), jalapenos, maybe some extras if we have leftovers (yesterday it was a handful of ham) and a bit of extra cheese as they tend to skimp on that a bit themselves. So we get a Dominos-style topping-packed pizza for around £2 (plus whatever few pennies the toppings cost) instead of £15 - I bet HM would be a lot cheaper but it's a good compromise I think!

Frankly I'm not that os, I do the bits I like. So my list of exceptions could be quite long. However, some of the things people have mentioned, like internet connections are to my mind essential money savers now. These days, you don't have to send many emails instead of letters, particularly if they're to people abroad to save quite a few pound every month. I also save money with online billing and price comparison sites and online shopping. The high speed connection I have however is something of an indulgence though - but I did have dial up for about 14 years, so I've done my share of sitting around waiting :rotfl:.

    Alcohol, TV, internet, consoles ect

I use a tumble dryer - trying to use it less though!
I buy frozen chopped onion! - I can use a bit when I want it and the pack goes back in the freezer so no chopping and stinging eyes.

    Occasional takaway, meals out.
