Pepsi Max and Banana Conditioner (from the Body Shop). Recently, I used a 35% off code on top of the 50% off originals so managed to buy 10 bottles of conditioner for £13 (usual price is £4 each!). I also tend to buy Pepsi Max when it's on special (BOGOF at Lidl's at the moment).MFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000

I have cut down on, but won't give up, my coffee pods and coffee mate and I'm ashamed that its probably costing me around £16 a month but I do justify it by the fact that the cost comes from my work bonus, If i didn't get that then i would have to consider giving it up i suppose.
Dove soap, I will never give it up, love, love, love it.

I don't have too many things, I have a virgin internet and tv package, however the tv is basic and I have traded my sons dad for his V+ box and card and he has my basic package in his bedroom so I essentially get V+ and full TV package for the price of basic. My internet is more of an essential as I need it to be able to do my OU course and it is my only method of socialisation as I never go out.
The 3 times a year I go out on the town (once this saturday) only costs me around £20-£30 but in my view that way more than enough.
My annual road trips with friends, it's not expensive at all around £100 but I do do it 2 to 3 times a year.
Last one is probably the car which I am in the middle of getting on the road, it is not essential as I can get around by bus but a hospital trip which I currentl have to make every month for my son makes the 4 bus 2 hour round trip more expensive than using the car, along with nursery (he should be starting in January) he won't be able to go unless I have the car as he won't have a place in my 1st choice.
The only other thing I would say is my stock pile of various offers. I currently have 40 shower gels, 20 of which are The Body Shop, I only ever buy branded toiletries whilst on offer and so I have a pile that will last roughly 2 years for less than 50% of the cost that it should have been. Same goes for shampoo and conditioner, I will only use certain brands but I only ever buy them on offer. Good notebooks, pens, post it notes for my OU course. Again I only ever buy them at times like now when they are 75% off in places like Asda and it works out at just a little more than smartprice offers.
I justify these things by not drinking on a regular basis, going out, smoking (I really despised having to give that one up), good coffee going down the brands to Asda level, new clothes unless completely necessary (although my mum renewed my wardrobe this year along with me buying £40 worth in the Matalan sale and she has clothes for my Christmas, I am sorted for a few years now), I don't get my hair done regularly since the cheapest available place around here is £40!!!! It was down a year past in August so badly needs doing now. I don't buy things for myself, I use my stockpile of branded toiletries and creams, make up etc I got dirt cheap so it doesn't seem to bad to me (even though it probably is).Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Lostinrates, I do take your point and it wasn't a criticism of the farmers/producers, least of all those who set high standards for welfare - it's rather that the cost shocks me because I'm used to buying fairly basic vegetarian foods.Life is mainly froth and bubble

Aaron's mummy - you may well have thought of this one already but if not (and you're fairly brave!), try your local FE college. Mine has a proper salon and I had my hair cut there by a third year trainee for £7. She did a perfectly reasonable job although it did take ages because she kept checking the details with her tutor. If you have a very precise short style it probably isn't ideal, but mine isn't and I was happy with it - happier than I've sometimes been after a salon visit, although that may reflect the standard of the cheap salons I've tended to use!Life is mainly froth and bubble
