I would. I have courage in my convictions.

Really? Care to offer your estimate of GDP for Q3 and Q4.
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.

Just a note for some on here, it is not the fault the bear posters were right about GDP and the poor state of the economy.

Thanks for issuing this note on my behalf.

I know the economy's in a poor state and my prediction for GDP was spot on too. I'm sick of the bulls blaming me - I'm just being a realist.

Is there any reason we should care about the 'item club' predictions? Are they anymore accurate than the predictions of other(fake science) economists? They are forever upgrading or downgrading their forecasts which makes me think they are just a bunch of b*llsh*tters who have managed to con their way into a respectable sounding career. I have zero knowledge of economics but if I was told what the UK growth figures were for the previous quarter then I have a feeling that I would have an even chance of predicting next quarter's figures better than most economists. It's hardly rocket science because if it was then they would do a hell of a lot better than they have been doing.

Graham seems to think that we should all follow his predictions. Mind you, he hasn't the 'courage in his convictions' (sic) to actually monetise them. He seems to have this self-confessed faith in his own financial accument and yet works in a low level job where he has a LA house share and barely scrapes enough cash together to buy petrol for his daily commute.

No Warren Buffett is he. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Good for you Graham. Man enough to put your head on the block and at least able to admit it when you've been wrong.

Oh, I'm sure Graham will wriggle out of it. We're still waiting for him to admit he was completely wrong when he was demanding a rise in BoE interest rates, "just like the sensible ECB". Right up until the ECB realised their error and frantically reduced their rates again. :rotfl:

You do all realise all this fluff is nonsense.

The ITEM club had two parts to it....the first part was suggesting that (and I quote) "Britains double-dip recession over".

Is it over? Yes or no? No!

So you need to get a grip.I came in and stated "ahh well". You all fell over yourselves to prove a point that doesn't exist. The funniest thing is watching you all do it.

Britiains double dip is not over. Ahh well. Onwards and upwards.

    Oh and... ;)

    What's that shortchanged...
    One last question for shortchanged.

Have you 'given up' completely and will now avoid me on the forum and not participate in any discussions with me or indeed make any sly digs at me that could end up in debate/discussion.

Or is your 'bye' just confined to this particular discussion and the difficult questions you refuse to answer?

I hope it is the former because otherwise people might start suggesting that you lost a discussion and flounced out of it, then returned in later discussions to get revenge, desperately hoping that people had forgotten about your drubbing here.

As predicted, shortchanged is back to making sly digs in the hope that people will forget the drubbing he received at my hands on this thread. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So you weren't leaping in with both left feet to try and score a cheap internet point against one of your internet enemies?

Instead it was a dastardly plan to carefully deliver us to this point before you delivered the killer blow. I can see now that's exactly what you were doing. You cunning fox.;)

Erm, actually you fell over yourself to prove a point that doesn't exist. Nice attempt to try and turn the situation around though, but it just adds to the humour because it was so ineptly done and so transparent. :rotfl::rotfl:
