Clearly Nissan dealerships and customer services are maintaining their low standard of service to their customers.
I have a completely dead connect unit. It happened before while vehicle was in warranty but came back to life 1 week before it went in to dealer to be looked at. They gave me paperwork stating they witnessed the fault and that they believed it to be an internal fault with the unit itself but did nothing at the time as the unit was working.
The vehicle is now out of warranty and the unit has died again. Guess what????? They won't do anything and after waiting over 2 weeks for customer services to get back to me, i am no further on unless i want to be out of pocket. The guy at customer services had the gaul to say to me it's expensive having a vehicle. My reply was yes especially if you have a Nissan.
Any advice for me now???0 -

Try Twitter which is what seemed to work for the OP. Not sure resurecting a two year old thread is going to get you far!0 -
I'm also having problems with My car(Nissan )bought in june 2013 3 years old with 1 year warranty thought buying this i wouldn't have needed the AA to check it out as thought a main dealer like Nissan would have been through and honest!! Beware even buying a car 3 years old Warrant doesn't seem to count for anything. I have an endless list of problems after spending 14,750 on this car to be told i need to spend another 2000!!
Im thinking of going to Trading standards or Watch dog unless sorted by Nissan.0 -
I had a 4 year old Nissan, 41,000 miles when the gearbox suffered a catastrophic failure. Cost £2,700 to rebuild. We have owned 6 Nissans to date but Customer services have refused to help even though they acknowledge, after constant denials, that they have extended the warranty on this gearbox to 5 years. However, this extended warranty, which, by the way, has been extended to 10 years in the US, apparently does not cover the fault in my gearbox?! How convenient for them. Also, they won't help because I apparently am not a loyal Nissan customer, as I took the car to a gearbox specialist, not a Nissan a Dealer! I am now trying to contact Nissan CEO UK and Nissan Customer Services Director, if anyone can help with that?

Would this be a Murano? It most certainly is a CVT box!0 -

Who actually did the work? Nissan or the independent garage?
Did you approach Nissan before the problem was diagnosed? If not, it may be difficult, but if you did approach them and they dismissed you then you may be on stronger ground.
If you have home insurance you will probably have access to a legal advice helpline so they may be worth a try. Failing that, Citizens Advice may be able to help.0 -

Go on, have a guess?Michaelmas wrote: »as I took the car to a gearbox specialist, not a Nissan a Dealer!
Why do people take the vehicle out of the network and expect the manufacturer to pay for it.
Plus, when will they learn, the contract is between them and the dealer, not the manufacturer, and 3rd parties will always tell you what to hear if they're going to get some work out of it.0
