Nissan messing me around - who can I complain to?!

Bit of a long story, but I bought a brand new Nissan 3 years ago, which has a fault with the alarm, and have raised this under warranty. After a lot of hassle, the dealership don't know what to do, and told me to phone the Nissan customer service phoneline. Did this a month and a half ago, but they are not sorting the problem either...
Is there an authority that regulates car manufacturers like Nissan? I want to take this further but don't know who to complain to!
Thanks in advance

Trading Standards? Get contact details for CEO of Nissan UK? MD of dealership? Park outside with large placard citing problems you have had?
Have you been to an independent alarm specialist to get an opinion or report?
Depends how much noise you are prepared to make. Nissan legendary dealer service is alive and well i see, Just remember it when you replace the car0 -
The Nissan UK PR Team have a Twitter account. I have alerted them to this thread so hopefully you will get a response.

I am already in touch with Nissan customer care via phone - in about 6-7 weeks since I raised the issues with them, they have literally not progressed with anything at all!
Also, the twitter reply appears to be someone with the initials "LT", which are the same initials as my case manager...
There must be a body that regulates car manufacturers??0 -

Interesting.... as a result of this thread and your twitter message, I missed a call this afternoon from someone at Nissan calling on behalf of the director of Nissan UK.
I hadn't yet emailed the address you mentioned, so obviously someone there has done some digging and found my contact details from the case that's already open!
I plan to call them back tomorrow, so lets see what happens....0 -
Spoke to them this morning, and they said they will look into the problems and call me back tomorrow.
Hopefully it will get sorted satisfactorily now, but if not, think I might have to get in touch with Watchdog!herman2811 wrote: »Interesting.... as a result of this thread and your twitter message, I missed a call this afternoon from someone at Nissan calling on behalf of the director of Nissan UK.

Directors office at Vauxhall are dealing with my issues with my Insignia too.. so far so good.. seems to be the only way of getting a complaint dealt with properly.
I've experienced CS at VX and Ford and both have been appalling, always escalate any major complaints I have directly to CEO and they have always been sorted. This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -
This thread really just backs up my theory of never buying brand new cars..... Buy 2 or 3 years old and let some other mug deal with the teething problems“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Some posts appear to have been deleted??!! Think a chap called Dave, who is the head of social media for Nissan (or something like that) had posted.
Anyway, something else that I hadn't previously mentioned was that my local dealer, when looking into my alarm fault a few months ago, actually used my car without my permission (15 miles!) - on complaining, they tried to fob me off with £15 worth of fuel. The next time I took the car in, they supposedly put this into my car, but I estimate they only put about £5 worth in, judging by the fuel gauge.
So I've also complained about this to nissan's customer services, and all they are doing is trying to get me the £15 the dealer was supposed to give me. Not only is this figure an insult as far as I'm concerned, what are Nissan doing about this dodgy dealership??? As far as I know, they will simply get away with this.
So, Nissan - are you reading this is well - care to comment?!0
