I've been cleaning round today, had 2 tetras so far and 4pints of water. I had a new fridge a couple of weeks ago and it's got one of those water dispenser things on which is coming in very handy now cos I like my water freezing cold, if I put it in a glass and it goes warm I can't drink it.

OH was in the kitchen and I asked him what he was doing and he said making lunch, then he brought in the biggest plate of curry rice and chips you've ever seen, the smell filled the room and my mouth was watering, I had to go out so went to clean the bathroom while he ate it (I didn't say anything to him because he would have felt guilty) Came back when he'd finished and had a Tetra and felt really pleased with myself that I hadn't given in and pinched some!

Maybe I am in ketosis, I don't usually have this much energy to do so much housework, or maybe that's just because I'm normally stuffed with carbs which cause mid afternoon slump!

  • Official weigh-day will be Tuesday.

I get weighed every morning on my own digital scales.

So was weighed yesterday morning. Weighed myself at 3pm today. when I should have been heavier - and I am a couple of pounds DOWN not up!

Oooh let us know how you get on!

I wish I had scales so I could weigh myself, I choose not to have them in the house otherwise I end up weighing myself all the time, about 10 times a day so I don't have them now

So I won't know how I've done till Thursday!

  • To be honest Claire, that is probably better because I have scales in my house and I am constantly weighing myself. I get obsessed.

C&Q, well done on your loss! Hope you enjoyed your meal.

I just went through my Filofax and I have decided to go out for a meal on 15th February for Valentines Day. I will have just completed week 6 on the CD so should hopefully be at target or close to it by then. I feel like I have something to look forward to now.

My OH is in the army and he lives away from home Monday to Friday. He left an hour or so ago to go back and I think it will be so much easier without him here. I might ask my mum if she can feed the kids before I pick them up too as I think that would really help. I find it very hard plating up their dinner and not having any!

I said to OH yesterday that weightloss on this plan was pretty rapid and he said that he hopes it is not all a big con. That has given me so much motivation now because I want to surprise him each Friday he comes home to see how much I shrink each week.

Just had my last soup of the day - a spicy tomato flavour which I really like. I must admit though, I do miss food.

C&Q, you have been on the plan for a very long time. How do you do it? Have you fallen off the wagon much or have you been pretty much motivated the whole time? I think you are doing SO brilliantly :T

    :D Aimingto lose 19lbs in 3 weeks

    Loss so far: 0lbs
  • Funnily enough I haven't fallen off the wagon at all!

I have had two planned meals out - one on 14th December and the one last night - where I had a three course meal and ate what I wanted. Both occasions I lost weight the next day.

I did 2 months of SSing, then went onto 790 because I had a couple of birthday parties and a couple of social functions. Have just stayed on 790 all the way along, I enjoy it, I am never hungry and I am losing weight so that will do for me!

The weight loss is not a big con!

I keep hearing the ad on the radio for WW - "you can lose up to 5lbs in 2 weeks". Well whoopee!! On Cambridge I lost 17lbs the first week and 4lbs the second, so 21lbs in two weeks!!

I am going on holiday to Malta on 8th April and want as much weight off as possible before I go away - am aiming for 42lbs before then.

Keep your mind focussed and see the end result and you'll have no problems with the diet at all.

  • I am really tempted by this... there goes my problem.... temptation!!!
How do I go about joining the Cambridge Diet? Who do I contact? I am a few stones overweight and know that I really need to lose it fast. x
  • Go to https://www.cambridgedieters.com and look for the link to the Cambridge Counsellors in the menu.

Have a look to see where the CDC's are for your area - then give one or two a ring or an email. See which ones you think you might resonate with.

If your BMI is over 35/40 you will need to have a Medical Form signed, or if you are taking any medication other than the contraceptive pill.

Then all you do is to make an appointment with the CDC and you are on your way!

It could just be the best decision you ever made! It certainly was for me.

    Morning all

I feel good today, still dont think I am in ketosis yet, is it usual for it to be delayed this long??

Had a lovely pamper the weekend, lots of naps and lovely baths with essential oils and face/hair masks, really enjoyed it!

Anyway I have a question: can we have sugar free gum?? I'm glugging the water but my mouth tastes foul today, yuck!

If not Im off to buy a toothbrush/paste, I can't stand it it's horrible!
