Don't you be so hard on yerself, you're doing just fine.... everyone has good days and bad days... but thankfully we all have them at different times, or that would be fatal! (suicide pact anyone!?)
do you have a diary/spreadsheet or blog, or even take a picture and compare it to your before picture.... something to show you how far you've really came......I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Oh Welshy, you need to pull yourself together, don't give it up now.
Tell us where you are up to, how many weeks and lbs.
Can you change your CDC, I'm not sure how happy I would feel with a bloke, expecially if youre trying to talk about coping with PMT and TOTM type things?
I only seem to have one near me, who is about 7 miles away, so don't have a whole lot of choice, but it may be worth you having a look on the website. There is also a number there that you can ring to check the latest info.0 -
Aah thanks Maz & Duncan. I am on week 7 and have lost 29lb so far. I am proud of that, but just had a sh*t week.
As for taking a photo Maz, hell would freeze over before I take a picture (that reminds me that i promised i would post the one and only photo of me on here from my hols- i will do that tonight).
Yeah there are other consultants, but they are based in Cardiff and I live in the valleys, so its a pain to get to for me. I am happy with CDC, but i only seem to be in there 5 mins. He weighs me, takes my money then says goodbye, but it seems you are getting a bit more counselling than me.If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0 -
Over 2 st, it's fab really isn't it. You just couldn't do that on any other diet, but you are on week seven and still have some way to go, and that makes it feel like a long way and pretty hard.
Have you had the Book Welshy?
Maybe you would would benefit from a bit of a break, maybe go up to the 810 plan, it still won't let you have a chinese, but may help a little, or even try the SS+ like Alpha.
Maybe if you allow yourself to have real food, you may find you don't want it anyway.
I find the denial thing pretty hard I must admit. And it dosent take a lot of temptation at certain down times to push me over the edge.
I won last night, but I am already getting niggly, food cravings just in time to go home.
I've decided that I am just not strong enough to face the kitchen, straight from work, so I am going to take Dunc out for a longer walk tonight, go for about an hour, I have found that the walking helps and then when I get back in I am less inclined to pick and undo the hard work.
I am trying really hard to think of some distractions for you Welshy, in fact I can feel I am sitting here with a furrowed brow, god they will think I am working so hard in my little glass office.0 -

I'm the same sue - when i have a runclub after work i can go home as late as 8pm and everyone else has eaten.... but see tonight, i'm home by 6pm and they, quite rightly as i am mum, expect me to cook.... and these nights are the ones i find the toughest... not even so much the cooking stuff i can't eat... but the being home in the evening and *not* eating... come 9-10pm which is my quiet time, my brain is thinking nom nom nom, what's for nibbling, whereas last night when i had runclub i didn't really have the same time to think of food....
or maybe the excercise staves it off, for as Sue says, makes you not want to eat and undo the good work!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

did your CDC not take a before picture on your first appointment?! Measurements??? i thought these were pretty standard?
you are ahead of a stone a month target, so please hun, it's okay to feel sh!tty but don't belittle what you've achieved..
What excercise are you doing, maybe that would shift the focus for you?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
My CDC didn't do pics and measurements. She had a super duper machine though that printed out lots of interesting statistics about weight, fat weight, muscle weight, water weight, bone weight and the like, I suppose they are all different and use the things that they found most useful on their "journey". I do wish now though I had taken measurements, but I can feel it in my clothes so am not too bothered.0

My CDC does my measurements every couple of weeks.... although i don't retain the information... she tends to show me it when i've had a poor loss as a way to gee me back up.....
She's not let me see my before pics, compared to my last week pics.... she says i have wait til i get to goal... cruella!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
