Morning everyone. Sue & Alpha, dont dwell on your slight blips last night. Its a whole new day today
Maz, well done on not ordering or eating out from the chippy. (How you managed that i've no idea, wish i had that will power!!!)
I think it was cause I'd just been to the gym and i guess i thought, what would be the point of undoing all the work i'd just done....
i don't buy into this you've worked it off you can eat it back on again stuff... as was advocated in the Supersize/superkinny programme.... if you need to lose it, you should try to work out to lose, not as a licence to eat....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
yep, as Caz says lets get focused and keep one another 100% today!!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

Thank you all for not shouting at me too much - I just don't know why I feel so great and up for it in the morning and then walk through the door and fall to bits.
As Goldfinch said today is a new day, I have to think positive.
Maz I think there is some truth in what you say, my mum and dad live with us, her "job" is the cooking, and for the last few years I have gone home to dinner on the table every night after work. I think that instead of trying to hang on for my last shake after doing the dog, I might just have it straight away when I get in.
Will try it and see if I do better. Then if I still feel like something afterwards I could have another shake.
Thanks for the thought.
The steak wouldn't have been so bad on its own, I then just had a mad binge and couldn't seem to stop.
I suppose its still less than I would have had before, I just frustrated myself.
Welcome Lilac, you started 2 days after me, hope you are doing much better!!, I'm not doing too bad really, lost 1 st. 2.5lbs after 3 weeks so can't complain.
Alpha, I don't know why we do it, I suspect that we like food rather a lot, we can follow the plan to the letter short term, and start to feel so much better, clothes get a little looser and then I think I at least get a little bit complacent, I have sort of proved I can do it, (even though of course I havent reached target at all) so think I can start cheating a little. Probably I also start to get a little bored.
I think without this forum I would have given it all up by now, so thank you everyone, today is a new day, I've had my banana bliss and will get through the day, will promise you all now - see I am good at keeping promises - that tonight I will not binge - and I will keep to day 3 of the running programme. I did keep to day 2 but as it was a rest day it dosent really count.
Well Done Lisa - I can't weight to hear about your first weigh in. The first one is always the best. I am so glad to hear you are doing fine, unfortunately you do feel a little lousy in the beginning, but its great to hear you are coping.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR WELSHY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.
Hope you feel better today, and no I wouldn't have a gastric band, It is far too intrusive and I couldn't bring myself to have any surgery that was absolutely necessary. (Well maybe if I end up with big bags under my eyes!)
Georgia's story was amazing, her attitude was fantastic, listening to her you just would not believe that she could ever have gotten to the position she was in. Her maturity was inspriational and she would not blame anyone else for her position, she took full responsibility and she was the one that had to fix the problem.
When she came home for christmas and continued with her exercise, went through her mums cupboards and then went back to school having lost another 5 lbs. I could have hugged her, (maybe some of her willpower could have rubbed off!)
But in other ways you could see she was still so young and vunerable and your heart really went out to her.
It was a good programme and I hope they follow up on it to see how she gets on in the future.
Sorry - have I just spoiled it if you havent seen it?0 -
i enjoyed the programme too, and was pleased with how it went for her.... she looked fab in the picture at the end...!
Welshy - happy birthday hun! (sorry it's taken me 4 posts to say that today!!)
:bdaycake:
Is it bad if i ask what you had to eat from the Chinese???I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Happy birthday Welsh_cake
Gold - DFW is debt free wannabe. I am trying to save and get rid of my loan earlier than it should end and save more money for a house deposit as we want a bigger home. Not haveing money problems as such just rubbish at budgetting. I was doing well for about 9 months then it has went a bit wonky since christmas.
Maz - yeah I had to buy 2 weeks worth. TBH it wasn't too bad on the pocket because I get paid monthly and have shifted enough money for 5 weeks worth to another account for the diet so it was sitting there anyway. I am hoping for a 6lb+ loss for weeks 3 and 4.
I was never big enough for a gastric band but that is really last chance saloon so if it was band or die I would choose the band. I think i will need a tummy tuck. I have had 2 kids in 2 years and my tummy is looking like a burst baloon. I have bough a Pilates DVD in an effort to try and tighten it up.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
No you have not spoilt it... i just wish i could have seen it so if anyone spies a rerun or somehting or i can watch it online let me know... what was the name of the program and what chanel was it on i could research it!
I have not yet eaten today and am home alone again (waiting for a parcel) so plan on going for a long walk as soonas it has arrived!!
Welshy HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Thank you for my birthday wishes.
Maz, I had a chicken curry and bean sprouts. I couldn't help myself. I had a rubbish few days and my OH said I deserved a treat, but to put it behind me now and that maybe once a month we can have a takeaway. I have to be honest and say I feel so much better for having something to eat, albeit i should have just cooked some chicken, but I couldn't resist a chinese. If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0 -
Alpha it was on BBC 1 and called Georgia's story - you can get it from bbc i-player.If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0

i think originally Alpha was talking about a different prog that was on last night, something about hospitals and obese people, had been in a series about various drains on the NHS, binge drinkers was another one i think?
Was this it on C4? you would get it on http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-hospital/catch-up#2872652I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Oh right sorry. I got confused. I thought she was referring to Georgia's story. If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0
