Where did all these dogs come from????????

I haven't read all the post - will have to do it tomorrow - just had sky wireless installed and it is soooooo crap. Been on the phone to them 3 times tonight coz it keeps cuttin out. Really winding me up now.

With regards to taking the dogs out. Mine won't walk up the stairs on his own - soooo lazy. He cries to be carried all the time. its a bloody nightmare.
If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A

Don't worry about it just try and keep busy. The best thing to do is take it day by day. Get to the end of today and put a big tick on your calendar. DAY ONE - SUCCESSFUL!! Don't think about how long you will be on it. Believe us it does get easier but it will be tough at first. Log back on here tonight and let us all know you got through day one.

I like to try and get excited '' about each 'meal' as its coming up and agree with myself a time that i can have it. I always have at least a pint of water in the morning and with each meal as well. aim for about 3l each day, my bladder couldnt cope with more but i will try and build it up!

Maz your boys ;) are cute!! We can only take one on walks/runs longer than about 1-2miles as the other is a bit of cripple. Mine are both girls, are yours littermates? Mine are not and can you believe i managed to get them both at only a week and a half between them within a month :D

We are just building up their excersie though as they are just a year now, Duncan what sort of excersise do you give your Duncan?

Welsh, if Sky doesnt sort it you will have to ring bt as there may be a fault in the line where it splits it into internet/phone. We had this for ages. Ended up with no phine and barely any internet. grrrrr :p

Lisa if you are feeling hungry drink a pint of strongbow.... i mean water :D
If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:

Some good advice there methinks. I will do that.

Have asked hubby to put scales up the loft so i can't be tempted to weigh in between.

Alpha, I liked the Stongbow better, but the water works wonders, it is hard to get down sometimes. I reuse 50ml bottles so that I can keep count.
Lisa for the first few days you need to stay strong, imagine yourself thin and what you are going to do when you are. Set yourself some mini targets.
Like, get through day 1, get through day 3, get to first WI. If you get that far the first WI will spur you on again for another couple of days.
I have made myself a chart for 6 weeks, its just on squared paper that I down loaded online, it has my weight on the vertical axis and the date running along the bottom. I have split it into weeks, and have written my own mini targets on it, like at 10 days I am a quarter of the way through the 6 weeks, 21 days half way, I also have lines showing 1 stone two stone, and also BMI line for Obese / Overweight, (the charts too small to show "normal" but that will go on the next 6 week chart.
Each morning I colour in a square along the bottom that I did the diet without cheating. I also write on "events" where I will plan to eat.

So, My Chart this morning was loads of fun!
Its day 21 so reached half way line, and I lost 2.5 lbs this week (even after my splurge at the w/e), which takes me below my BMI line.

ITS OFFICIAL - NO LONGER OBESE - JUST OVERWEIGHT NOW.

Total loss in 3 weeks, 1 st, 2.5 lbs.

Ok, so I am now having breakfast. Shake and first water of the day. I am treating this as normal breakfast time and hoping it will work.

Re the sky thing. I have just changed from sky was with them for a year and we had an appauling internet connection here. I was glad to rid them. I hope you can sort it out soon enough.

Alpha, Duncans nuts, My hubby sometimes walks him in the morning before work (I don't do mornings at all). Then I always walked him in the evening after tea, pre CD, I would sit in front of the TV and have a cup of tea before we went. He would come up to me and keep sticking his nose in the mug to see if I had finished, once I had he would climb on my knee, (hes a big dog to do this) and stick his nose against mine and wag his tail.

Now he gets confused. I wait for my last meal until after walkies, so just follows me all night until I take him out!

We have a nature reserve at the bottom of our road thats lovely for dog walking and our estate is pretty quiet and good for dog walking, we usually do about 40 mins of a brisk walk.
At the weekends we used to go to the beach which is about 30 mins away, but he kept having these funny turns, which we have found out since are because he has a heart murmur, so he dosent get to run and run anymore, cos he dosent know when to stop.

I also bought a book of Wirral Walks, we have only done one so far, but they are good, showing you have far the walk is, places of interest, pubs and other places to stop on the way, you can get them for all over the British Isles, they are good fun.

Lisa, this diet is strict, and I don't think a little obsession does you any harm while you are on it, you need to remember why you are doing it. I am never normally the type of person to draw little charts, but I am finding it helps me focus better.

Happy First Day - Be good, as you say, where will you be in three weeks???? If you are better than I was last weekend you could be reporting a much better loss than mine.:j
