I think its to cover themselves incase there may be any medical contraindications of going on such a diet and so the doctor can monitor you

but yes i would imagine that they would be glad you want to loose weight

not all docs like CD though app!!

Hi Alpha (been reading your journey ~ hope you dont mind). I understand that but what I dont get is when you havent been to the doctors for months you need bother him  Not many people, be them docs, friends or people online I have seen dont like VLCD however when its that or surgery on the nhs you would think they would be signing untill no tomorrow  Ah well, these hurdles are set to try everyone and anyone :rotfl:

What did you say to your doctor Alpha. Did s/he just sign it?

I dont mind at all!! :)

My CDC never sent me to the doctors  she should have! but she didnt. And i am so glad she didnt because i hate docs :o

I went to mine when i started putting the weight on and all he said was loose weight. How b****y helpful is that  anyhoo. I was BMI45!! so technically should have gone.

I would have been so scared that they would not let me do it and because of my knees i cant excercise much to get enough off by myself (once more weight comes off my knees should improve though.

You thinking of joining us P-A-P??
