well i wrote a long essay earlier for this posting but don"t know where it went
anyway been on cambrige since tuesday according to keto sticks went into ketosis wednesday, but still feel hungry, stuck to shakes and half a chicken breast over the four days went into town to boots where the scales are accurate and found i hadn"t lost an ounce, i hope everyone else has more look than me i could have cried
awww Donna, no matter how accurate those scales are, maybe they aren't the same as the CDC's? Or did you weigh yourself on those ones on the day you started.... your weight can fluctuate by lbs from am to pm and from day to day, so please don't write off the diet on day 3.... if you are in ketosis you will definitely be losing weight ...... in all the 100's of posts i've read on here and on minimins i have never read of anyone not losing at all in the first week.... so give it a chance hun... it's not easy but so worth it...
Worth asking, if you don't have as much to lose, then you will lose it slower, people have lost 2/4/6/8/10lbs easily in the first week. others over a stone mental!! but true!! probably not healthy and they were probably 25stone in the first place IYKWIM.......I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I've had enough this week. Its really getting to me. I genuinly haven't cheated once on this diet, but I just want to eat now. its doing my head in. I think its worse because I will only have the choc tetra bricks and the veg soup, which is making it very boring for me. Think I might add a meal next week.
i was struggling last week, and was forcing down flavours i didn't like, which was making me more miserable.... so i told CDC this and she is letting me have only choc shakes and choc tetras....! but i know what you mean, it's difficult when you don't enjoy the full range of flavours... however i hear lighter life is worse, there are even fewer choices!
Stay focused, pm me if you need a vent, or a buddy to get thru the stinking times with.... i'm over my midweek flakey thankfully and refocused... it does pass hun... please don't give up!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Been away form the forum for a while. No weigh-in this week as CDC is on holiday. I have weighed myself on the night though and i think i have broken through the 3 stone barrier!!
I've been on the diet 10 weeks and i think i'm ready to move up the plans. Just been on the Cambridge website and feel a bit depressed, i had a BMI of 42.7 before starting the plan. I'm now down to a BMI of 35.5 but that still classes me as Super Obese!! I'd need to lose another 2 stone to get into the overweight catergory i don't think i'd like to get that slim!
Anyone have any experiece of moving up through the plans? As i'd now like to start exercising but feel that i won't have the energy to do it on sole source?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Mercurystar - remember you can excercise at a low level, go walking, go swimming, some gardening - all of this would help. If you are going to excercise on SS have half a pack before & half after & you will be fine. Just listen to your body as you excercise & if it says it needs it just step it down a level. (I had a lady once who was a kick boxing teacher who started really upping her exercise whilst on SS)
What makes you think you don't want to get to "overweight"? A couple more months & you would be there, that would be mid May, a few weeks going up through the plans & you would be a great weight ready for the Summer!
If you do want to move up through the plans do it slowly & introduce the correct foods as it helps you recoignise what your body needs & what quantities it needs.
Just read this & it sounds like a bit of a lecture - sorry! But you can do it!!!
Good Luck

I've never been as low as 13 stone for as long as i can remember, which is what i'd be to get into the overweight catergory.
So you think i should stay on sole source or move up the plans?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Hi guys
been a tough couple of weeks but I am glad to report a second week loss of 7lbs giving me a total loss of 17lbs (in 2 weeks)
I realise that some of you are having a tough time but I thought this might give you some inspiration to continue.
Good luck all;)0 -
hi mercury, a lot of what you say makes real sense, good on you for not just aspiring to conform to an ideal on a piece of paper..............
at 10 weeks i felt i was ready to introduce some foods too... but similarly to you, i am still in the obese category and have decided to wait and get into overweight before i introduce the next stage...
At first i set myself a goal of 12stone (from 16st 3lb) and my CDC pointed out that it was still overweight... and as much as it will be nice to be 12stone, already a little part of me is thinking, oooh maybe a healthy BMI will be nice and i have a secondary target in the back of my head of 10stone 5, which is "normal".... although whether i will actually get there is debatable......I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Ultimately that is up to you.
If you are starting to want to pick then move up as this is when you may not stick at it & eat the wrong foods but moving up through the plans you will be more likely to stick to it.
If the only reason you want to move up is to be able to excercise then stay on SS & do some low level stuff & build up a bit (excercose not food).
Personally I was overweight from about age 18 to 34 when I lost 5 1/2st (17st 2 down to 11st 7) down to a size 12. When I started the diet I never thought I would lose that much! I am back on it (after having DD) & I am aiming to get down to 10st 7.
Good luck with whatever you decide. Remember doing as well as you have done will have already made a significant improvement in your health (even if you feel healthy anyway!)

Hi everyone. I've just emailed the CDC I went to this time last year to get back onto the diet. I lost a stone and a half last year and never felt better, people were commenting on how I looked totally different and had lost so much weight in my face, it was a great feeling. I managed to keep the weight off from June until Christmas and then I just piled most of it back on again. I've half heartedly tried Slimfast but have made the decision today to get back onto Cambridge before I totally lose the plot. The only shakes I could stomach were vanilla, toffee and walnut or butterscotch and the only bar that didn't resemble chicken feed was the Toffee one. Oh joy, I can't wait to drown in all that water ha ha! Well done to all of you - we need a medal just doing it!!Slimming World: SD: 2.05.16 SW: 13st10lb
Goal: 11st 10lb by my birthday in August

ladies
I am morbidly obese (loverly title) at 17st 4Lb (start weight) my cd put me onto 3 x shakes and a small meal in the evening this might have been due to my job but she also felt that going on ss would be settin me up to fail, I think you have to go with what your body is telling you, but good luck with what ever you choose.0
