Hey Faye
Your post made me giggle about your hangover. I'm so surprised with myself that I haven't caved in and had a vino or vodka yet...although saying that I'm only on day 11 ! I've got a romantic weekend away with my OH (if he stops being such an a**) at the end of March so that really will be a test !
Welsh Cake - how did you get on this evening - whatever the result, we're all 100% behind you !
I am away on the 20th for a romantic weekend too, but I have vowed to stay on the shakes for the weekend. My OH is being really supportive and I know he won't encourage me to eat. He said he will go out on his own when he needs to eat! I hope I don't cave in and go with him, because knowing him he'll go to pizza hut or something and I won't be able to resist. If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0 -
Well done welsh_cake ! It really does work. Sorry that you felt so grotty last week, were you drinking enough water?
I only lost 1lb this week but several inches from everywhere else, TOTM I think, going on what I've read here. Still that's 1st. 4lbs gone in three weeks, and I feel so much better already. 3 stones to go.
I have found it difficult when I have felt hungry and sometimes have given in and eaten veg/salad and a little protein, but on the whole I've been good.
I think the results are worth it, but I'm going to redouble my efforts this week.0 -
Well I have been drinking loads compared to what I used to drink. I drunk very little before coming on this diet. I am constantly dehydrated on this diet though. I am drinking about 4 litres a day, which should be enough.
Well done on losing 1lb - its better than gaining 1lb!
I would love to be able to eat some salad, but my CC tells me not to, so I suppose I had better listen! If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0 -
Morning everyone hope everyone is feeling good today... Its such a lovely day, the sun is blazing through my front room window.... I'm just waiting for the baby to wake up from his morning nap then we are going out for a long walk.
had my 1st weigh in last night day 6 of the cd....... and I lost 7lbs
I was so pleased i thought I would only loose 2 or 3 lbs but half a stone is brill...!
I feel on top of the world and everyone I know who mocked me for doing this diet have been saying that they wouldn't mind doing it now....
anyway bubba has just stirred so I off have a good day everone xxxx Annaxxx0 -

I worry about how I am going to keep it off too, but to be honest, although I miss the fatty foods, I would be more than happy to tuck into a salad now. Are you exercising at all? I haven't had the energy this week, but think I am going to start going round the block once a night.
I was running before i started the CD plan, so didn't want to give it up... i didn't run the first week, felt really bleugh and just couldn't do 2 things at once that week, but have ran 3 times a week each week thereafter... my running has improved loads actually, well i suppose it would as i lose weight...
Once you are in the swing of things, you'll find the weeks just fly by..... and the exercise will only help you to get toned up and avoid saggy skin hopefully when skinny...!
Enjoy your weekend away welshy.. My OH doesn't really get that you can have a special occcaision that doesn't involve eating in some way or other... and to be honest, i struggle with the concept too!!
Annzi - well done on the loss!!
Mrs T - i'm not mad keen on the bars either!! i try but i can't ever eat a whole one...!
Church mouse - i'm not adverse to eating a piece of protein from time to time, but try not to make a habit of it... maybe once or twice a week... i figure if you're in it for the long haul, you need to cut yourself some slack and at least make your cheats healthy ones! I have a friend also doing CD who is 100% for 90% of the time, but her cheats are pizzas and chips and carby stuffs.... she gained 2lbs this week!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Thanks Maz.
Good for you keeping fit with running. I hate running and don't think I would ever get into that even when I am fitter. That must be helping you lots though.
Well done annzi - you must be really pleased. If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0 -
Hiya all.
I have had a really fbad three days. Toilet problems Im afraid. I have spent hours in tears, because I had a blockage (not nice I know). I have had to use laxatives, suppositries, and just about eveything else. I still couldn't shift it, so today I had about 1/4 of a bowl of Bran flakes with semi skimmed milk and a glass of orange juice, and I had to take the day off work, and I've spent it in bed with a hot water bottle. I think it has eventually shifted, and my stomach feels a little better although is making some crazy noises. I still feel quite sick, but I think this may be because before the food today I have only been able to manage 2 shakes in 3 days.
I am going to give it to the weekend on CD whilst taking Fybrogel, and see how I feel. If I get blocked again I'll have to do the 2 shakes and small meal, because I really can't go through the past few days again.
Sorry for a bit of a horrible post.Fantastic Expectations Amazing Revelations0 -
Oh Catty you poor thing. I had toilet problems too, but they seem to be getting slightly better now and nowhere near as bad as you have had it. Maybe you should give your CC a call and ask for some advice. Its no good you feeling the way you do. Hope you feel better soon. xxIf dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0

I rang my CDC yesterday and she just suggested going to my GP. I know my GP isnt a fan of diets like this, so he'd only whinge. I feel a little better now, still have an iffy tummy and Im a bit scared to drink my shakes, so Im currently trying to drink lots of water. My CDC said it was rare for the toilet thing to be as extreme as this, but it's typical - it's me hahaFantastic Expectations Amazing Revelations0

Welsh_cake - 9lb is just AMAZING, well done you !! You must be sooo pleased.
Anzi - half a stone in your first week - that's brilliant - gosh aren't we all good !
I've got my second weigh in tomorrow night - I'm nervous and excited - I've stuck to SS 100% so should be ok, hoping for a decent loss to keep me motivated !
Mrs T - can't believe you don't like the bars, I've only tried two, choc orange and caramel and I LOVED them, I'm planning on buying 5 of them this week and trying a few more flavours - it's so funny how we all have such different tastes.0
