No Maz, she wasn't mortified. She came round with the shakes today and explained that she's having trouble finding some other lactose free stuff for me. It seems that she has to buy a whole pack of one thing and I suppose that she doesn't want to risk it just for me in case I fall off the wagon. There aren't many lactose intolerant people around it seems, well not ones who want to lose weight this way.
Actually I think there are probably a lot of lactose intolerant folk about but they probably think they 'just' suffer from IBS. You have to self diagnose this problem but for anyone who does, the relief and improvement in health is enormous. You have to be reasonably bright to find all the information and tenacious in finding a solution and all when you are feeling wretched. It makes me cross that the medical profession still think that 'food intolerance is a middle class obsession.' ( Quote from my GP!!)
4th day and all ok so far. Would really have liked some of the supper I cooked for the family though.0 -
Hi to everyone and hello to shop-to-drop, I 'spoke' to you on this thread a few weeks back now, regarding the cost of Cambridge. Yes I'm restarting tomorrow as well, even though I originally started at the same time as shop-to-drop back in January but fell off the wagon unfortunately! (with no real excuse except for lack of self control). Really must get back on it, doing SS+ - 4 packs plus milk.
The rest of you are doing really well, well done you! How I wish I'd stuck to it as well as all of you!
SEK, re the cost, I pay £1.95 per item but I know this varies.
Good luck to everyone starting/restarting and keep going all you 'Goodie Goodies! So wish I was one.0 -
Hi Keywee
Yes I too have restarted today. Have had a hot chocolate at breakfast. I wasn't sure how well I would do today but now seeing that you too are restarting today has made me feel more determined.

I would like to lose 4 stone, am heavier than I have ever been at the moment. My CDC said 3 stone would be more suitable, so maybe we'll see what happens if or when I lose 3! Really pleased with the loss in 5 days though. Ive stuck to it exactly so was hoping I lost something!Fantastic Expectations Amazing Revelations0 -

OMG Catty, over half a stone in 5 days - that is amazing.
I've just got off the phone to a CDC and I've arranged a meeting with her for this Wednesday night - I've decided to give the CD a go !
I have a huge amount of weight to loose and after many failed diet attempts in the past, I've decided I need to try something new and after reading lots of posts on this forum, I'm excited to find out if the CD is something that might work for me !!
I admit I'm not sure how I will cope with the hunger pangs that will no doubt be quite severe for the first week or so. I'm just hoping if I can stick to it for a week, and then go and weigh and see a good result, that will keep me motivated to stick with it.0
