Well I got weighed last night and lost four lbs.

A bit disappointed to be honest but I know I couldn't keep up with the current rate I had been losing it.

Oh well, 24lbs in three weeks is still good :j

The bars are lovely! Chocolate is my favourite followed by caramel and then peanut. The orange one is also nice but a bit sickly and I prefer the chewy texture as opposed to the crunchy one!

Smidgey! please don't be down about 4lbs...! you could take a fortnight to lose that on conventional diets..! overall the bigger picture is looking good innit?!!

chris, i am definitely feeling it in my clothes, most of mine fitted me fine before (i.e. weren't too tight as bought the big sizes for comfort rather than squeezing into a smaller size.) now i can honestly say they are starting to feel big..... especially round the bum of my trousers!!

i tried on a work blouse this morning but it was flapping about like mad and looked scruffy, whereas before it looked fitted and alright... i have to create a pile of chuck outs i think. My niece is a big lass, she'll benefit from any clear out!

Can't wait for CDC to measure me on thursday now...! didn't get measured at end of week 1.

There's nothing wrong with exceed 227ml when you add water to the shakes, is there? I mean, apart from a weaker taste and all that...?

nope, i think it's just a minimum guideline..... and it generally fits nicely in a cup or glass!!

I had my CD soup about 12 o'clock but decided to go out on my break anyway, found myself in charity shop, in changing room with 3 pairs of, wait for it, size 16 jeans! thought i would give myself some aspirational jeans to get into in a month or two... well whaddaya know!! they all fastened! i'm not gonna lie and say they all fitted well or looked great, but they all fastened!!!

I bought 1 pair, which are tight round the waistband but wearable with the right top, i.e. hoody or something, nothing fitted lol!!

That is my motivation for the day! how cool is that??!?!

Lots of ways of measuring weight loss aside from the scales.
Measuring is one, clothing is another. Height to waist ratio measurement, body fat analysis. People's reaction, your own reflection!
I often tell my clients its not always the figure on the scales that measures success, its how you feel about your journey.

Well done those who have had losses! :D
  • First weigh in tonight after a week on the diet.

9lb loss and 2" off my waist!! Pretty pleased but inside i though i'd lose more!!

    Hi All,

I think I'm gonna join you all on here if you will have me!!.. been on another site recently but its been very quiet and not too helpful/inspirational!!!

Been keeping up with all your postings and weight losses --- well done to you all.

I have been on CD since Oct 08 and have lost 31lbs, but had a 3 week break over Xmas/New Year as we were going on holiday. Finding it good, although its in no way a diet of you have any sort of social life!!
I have got into a routine now of having 2 large glasses of water at breakfast, a Cinnamon Porridge mid afternoon, then small meal at 6-7pm. Once i get my little boy to bed I have a Cranberry bar, then just before bed a hot choccy shake. As you can tell its later on in the day thats my hungry time!
I had been doing SS plus, but last week went onto 810 and still had a good weight loss this week, so good to know there is a bit of flexibility with it. Will see how hungry I am this week, but CDC quite happy with me jumping between SS+ and 810.

At first my OH said I would never stick the diet, but here we are, I will slowly but surely get there. My journey to being slim again has well and truly begun, and the pounds are coming off. I've got another 4 stone to lose.

Will check in with you all tomorrow... nitey night for now.

Welcome gstar, well done on your loss so far! Keep going.

I had my third weigh in last night and I lost 4lbs (thats sixteen pounds in three weeks)...I am now 10 stone 2lbs and actually have to do a double take when I catch my reflection in the mirror. People are starting to notice. My CDC wants me to get into the 9 stone area before she puts me on adding a meal (although I do already have the odd chicken salad).

Can I just say its making me a bit sad to hear people are gutted cos they haven't lost more weight in the first week! I can't believe anyone would be upset if they had lost 9lbs in week one. Remember we are all different and we mustn't compare ourselves to each other.

Week 1 was tough for me so I can understand it when people think oh mi god, all this effort and I only lost 9lbs. But I think you go through a range of emotions and by week 3 I am begining to just adapt my life round my shakes.

Hope everyone has a good day...
