i had a lovely vanilla shake today about 11am, was ravenous, probably cause had been swimming this morning......

i had picked up the last of my savory pack and it was, bleugh you guessed it, brocolli and cheese! now i would *eat* brocolli in cheese sauce til the cows came home but i honestly could not even begin to contemplate having a soup of it... put it in cup, added water, mixed n mixed n mixed n mixed like mad... raised it to my lips and a big blob of powdery mix floated to the top... i sipped a little, and promptly poured it down the sink!!!! yuk yuk yuk yuk yuk!

Have another shake in my bag, but am saving it for later.....

nervous about weigh in tonight... 'scuse my ramblings!

Day 5 and...I had some chicken. Had spoken to my CDC about the fact that every now and then my job role tasks me with schmoozing - taking people out for food and drinks, etc. And in those circumstances, I need to be involved. She told me to concentrate on protein.

So I ate some chicken... 2 small fillets worth...

Should I be feeling like I've let myself down right now, or is it absolutely not a problem?

    :(

Gilzor, I very often have chicken...my CDC said 50g of protein at night will not have any effect on my weight loss..

Not sure about the chip butty I have just had....*someone* mentioned chips earlier and I have been obsessing about them ever since....I have no idea why as chips is not something I ever ate before CD!!!!!

  • The porridge is disgusting just a watery gloup!! Tried both now so am convinced! Had butterscotch and a choc orange shake and some chicken and mushroom soup. All nice especially the soup.

Real tired this afternoon and aching all over, a side effect?

  • Firstly, this forum is great. I would like to share my experiences, it is day 7 and yes I found the first few days really tough and thought why am I doing this it is horrific. However, I adjusted and the hunger pangs left still have the desire for lovely things but I am trying really hard to crack the weight issue. It was worth it I lost 10lbs at my first weigh in. Flabbergasted.

I have got a meal next week so have taken all the tips on board about what to eat. Tonight I tried the vanilla milk shake hot with a spoonful of coffee and I was pleasantly surprised.

My CDC said some people do get flu like symptoms when they first go on cd.

Maz well done on 7.5lbs what you have to remember is that is half a bloomin stone.....not bad in a week. Week 2 i think your body maybe will go into a bit of shock mode...remember biggest loser! week 2 - they always have low numbers....

Make sure you are drinking enough water. My counsellor said she was disappointed with her weight loss in week one and week two but she said she was not drinking nearly enough water. She tells me to drink 4 litres!!

And I am a big girl - I could have resisted the chips but went to sixth form college with Milly straight from work they all need tea and we had to drive past a macdonalds.....I am feeling a bit disappointed with myself this morning though....

    Just been catching up

    well your all doing well,

shop-to-drop - my mate did the cambridge and she worked nights, she found it hard to get into a routine, good luck

(Land of) Maz - well done on your loss, half a stone is a lot of weight, but a word of advice, try not to eat, i know you maybe hungry, but once you've had a taste of food it is hard to get back, take that from one who knows.

Gilzor No you haven't let yourself down, you did right, you ate the right thing, chicken, i eat loads of it, you would have felt guilty if you'd had a burger or some other type of rubbish food, keep going.

sammy115 - yeah chip butties are a real no no, but don't feel a bit disapointed, keep your chin up today is another day

mercurystar999 - try making the porridge a bit thicker, i like it like that, yeah being tired usually is in the 1st few days, along with being cold, but then you'll have boundless energy, (see me up at 8.30am on my day off, and i've already been up an hour)

patchkipper vbmenu_register("postmenu_17972129", true); - well done on your great loss, try to drink a bit more water when you get the hunger pains, seems to work for me, good luck with your meal, i ate out this week, chicken all the way, vanilla milkshake with coffee is yummy.

I've been good this week, drinking the water having the porridge, and shakes.

I have a meal because i'm not doing ss,

my meals are mostly chicken, brocoili, cauliflower, with half a sachet of chicken and mushroom soup poured over, i've got so into it.

Sometimes i add a bit of diced chicken to the soup to make, it a bowl of soup.

I've weighed myself today and on my scales, which i go by, i'm 9st 7lb, which is what i want to be, but i'm going to try and get down to 9st 3lb, got to get on the wii fit more.

Good luck to all of you today xxx
