Gilzor - well done on your weight loss, but can i just say, that if you do continue to cheat, whilst on the diet, you won't lose weight, been there done it and got the t-shirt.

Cambridge is only a good diet if you stick to it 100%

i also wouldn't advise drinking whilst on the diet, read this thread it may help you

I'm not having a go, as i know dieting is hard

    good luck for this week

hi guys, haven't been around this weekend, mad busy.

Was erin's birthday party on saturday, loads of lovely goodies to eat but refrained... well apart from one mini sausage roll... i purposely picked a birthday cake i didn't like! lol!!

then had a party at a friends in the evening, she'd made a big pot of chilli, but thankfully everyone had eaten by the time we arrived....

she'd bought me plenty of bottle water so it wasn't too hard to stay occupied as long as i clinged to the bottle!!!

on sunday i went for a run, after having a shake... no ill effects, the run was pretty good... then went swimming with Erin and my sister... then i took them to burger king, hell on earth when i ordered for erin and got myself another bottle of old faithful water! sis and erin ate their meals, i drank my water and patted myself mentally on the back for being strong... i did nick a chip mind you, but only the one!!! honest!!!

Big g asked me to collect him a pizza hut pizza so again temptation was laid in front of me and i resisted.... came home, they ate their chicken wings and pizza ( wings are a real love of mine!!! so i didn't even dare touch one as it would have led to six!)

i sat and had a mikshake while they ate...

i had my 3rd meal later, a bar and a cup of tea... quite satisying and felt quite decadent!

so all in all i feel i survived a temptation laden weekend!!!! well done me! and i hope the scales reflect the effort by thursday!

My counsellor is a bit shocked at my 4th weigh in!

    Week 1: 12lbs loss
    Week 2: 8lbs loss
    Week 3: 4lbs loss
    Week 4: 9lbs loss

It's hard to beleive I have been on this for a month already!! My counsellor thinks week 3 was a slow week because of the introduction of the bars and maybe my body has adjusted to them now. I was also heavily contstipated that week when I first introduced the bars so maybe that was to do with it.

33lbs in 4 weeks is amazing. I haven't cheated once and to be honest haven't felt tempted to do so, i'm just so determined.

67lbs til my target weight :j

Maz, put the scales away (says me who hops on and off them in the middle of the night..)

Just as a matter of interest Saint Chris...I have a couple of hard weeks coming up social wise. I am going out for a meal on wed - I can cope with this one as will stick to no alcohol...but I am going up to see my sisters in laws on Thursday night for a meal and there will be drink and they will be drunk...I am not sure I could cope with a night out with them totally sober...

That article scared the bejesus out of me..

I suppose you just need to know your own body and read the signs... plus if you're within the house, probably safer than being out and about and liable to keel over in a public place....

Sammy - re the scales, i'm not fixated on the numbers as i know CDC's scales weigh me heavier but i'm not seeing the same downward trend... really disheartening when i've been trying hard... i've passed up on so many lovely things to eat this weekend, and exercised too, but still not melting away... even my clothes have stopped showing signs of looseness... not that i'm putting on again or anything, but they were getting loose and now have stalled again........

Has anyone ever experienced slight dizziness at all? I've had it twice in the past week...

    Lack of water??
  • Hi Gilzor, I had dizziness in the first week and I think it was due to lack of water, the more I drank the less dizzy I felt (complete opposite to alcohol!!).

Had my 4th weigh in yesterday and have now lost 13lbs in total. One more pound would have been nice to take me up to a full stone. But nevermind, still happy and shrinking.
