Anyhow - i haven't updated myself how i am getting on...
I'm at the end of day 3 and am beginning to feel a bit better, really belugh last 2 days...
if i've felt really craappy i have had a piece of fish or chicken... which has settled my stomach a lot... no veg, no carbs, no sugars so sticking to the plan in that way.
i hope that this is me coming through the nausea now.. and if i have to eat a salmon fillet or 2 chicken fillets each day then so be it! plus it makes me feel more normal...!!
Tried the veggie soup today - me no likie!!!! so went down the sink!
followed that swiftly with a vanilla milk shake which i enjoyed... mind you it helps to be at home and making them in smoothie machine! (at last a use for the gadget gathering dust!!! lol!!)
back to work tomorrow... still have loads of flavours left to try but so far am ruling our porridge (both kinds) and veg soup.
liking vanilla and butterscotch very much...!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Maz you sound very much like me....I love butterscotch and vanilla and think I might just order those two next week!!!! Apparently you can mix coffee and sweetener with the vanilla and its like a latte.....
Have you just watched biggest loser...that kae is amazing....
My update is Bunny came over, yesterday and we went to the gym (not to work out:rotfl:) but to give the kids lunch and let them go in the ball pool. We had chicken salad well chicken and leaves...... no cheating either...then today me and OH went shopping in brum and we had lunch out - again I had chicken and salad and sprinkled balsamic vinegar on it. It was yummy. I have been a bit hungrier than I have been so far so was finding it difficult at tea time. I pinched two of chloes carpy meatballs out of a tin and they were gross. I think my taste buds are on the turn.....
I felt quite fat compared to the last couple of days though so I weighed myself and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had lost another two pound since Wed, so though I feel fat I am motivated to carry on......
I now have a bit more motivation, I am going to spain for a weekend in April so need to be skinnier.....
Maz, are there any other whisky things on ebay I could do with another one for work...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Hi everyone.
Like many, I found this thread and have been enthralled throughout its plethora of pages. I'm sure it'll make my experience with Cambridge easier going forward. About to go to bed after having spent a good couple of hours reading through this, but figured I'd post before I did.
My name is Craig and I'm 23 years old. For as long as I can remember I've been overweight. However, it's only since leaving my home in Lancaster and moving to London - essentially having to fend for myself - that I've started to worry about it.
Went for a meeting with a CDC on Saturday and started the diet itself yesterday. Went by without any hitches. I'm 6'1 and male, so am taking 4 products a day - porridge in the morning, two of the pre-made shakes and soups for the evening. I currently weight just under 20 stone - 19.13 to be exact - and my BMI tells me I need to be around 13.5.
That means I have around 98 pounds to lose. It's going to be a long road.

Well done Craig sounds like you have made a great start. Hope all well tomorrow.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
Thanks!
Forgot to mention that I'm doing Sole Source. And just to absolutely sure on this... I'm definitely allowed coffee, but only black and with no sugar (sweetener if I must).
I have a pretty stressful job working in the videogames industry, and while most things I can definitely do without, I absolutely need a coffee fix every now and then0 -
Yep you can have black coffee without sugar. If you need sweetener it must be the tablet type (check this) I think.
My CDC said no coffee and tea so that's how I did it the first time. Hard but I'm glad I did it that way. However this time I do have coffee and I also drink green tea and peppermint tea. I try not to have too much coffee. At home I have fairly weak instant. I allow myself filter coffee as a treat when out. It's OK to have coffee but for me I worry it will start off cravings as I loved a sugar fix with strong black coffee. It is also essential that drinking coffee doesn't stop you getting your water allowance.
Good luck at work tomorrow, keep strong it is so much easier that way in the long run.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
Man, what a restless night! I was actually feeling tired before I turned off the PC... then I could only get to sleep in intervals. Strangely, I feel pretty awake right now though. Not exactly knackered.
Two things: can I have chewing gum (worried about the breath monster reering its head!) and is it still cool to brush my teeth twice a day? That second point won't screw with anything will it?0 -

i did do it in oven and there was loads of oil so i blotted it a lot to absorb it... but i will stick to white fish if it's better.
Thanks shop!
(doesn't white fish always come with chips, mushy peas and a pickled onion!!??)

hi craig, you're doing great....!!
i also asked the chewing gum question...my CDC said that it was better not to, or if you must then chew a piece 6 times or so and then disgard... it'll freshen your mouth but not be enough to induce saliva hunger pangs or something...
She recommended gold spot, which i worried about as i thought that might have sugar in it, but she uses it all the time........I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
