If it helps anyone I am doing it just now and have lost 60lbs in 13 weeks
:D. I HATED the taste at first but now have two favourites - Getting through the first two weeks were the hardest but once ketosis is established you will feel soo much better - although your breath will stink!!

Hi, I've lost 77lbs in 24 weeks - didn't stick to the plan rigidly, i.e. had a number of big events such as weddings, birthdays and holidays and ate what I wanted but within reason.
Cons - the first two weeks were absolutely horrendous and I felt like throwing in the towel but then I lost a stone in the 2 weeks and WOW!!! Also, the bad breath is a complete nightmare but also a good indication you're in ketosis so it's a sort of "one step back two steps forward". I also hated the taste of the packets - felt like gagging everytime I had a drink so I moved onto the tetra bloks (mainly the chocolate velvet, yummy) the porridge and the cranberry bars. Never looked back after moving onto this option of the CD.
Pros - as mentioned - I've lost 77lbs! At the beginning of July I was wearing size 22 tops and 24 bottoms - I'm now a size 12 on the top and a size 14 on the bottom! I feel amazing, the compliments are non stop and my Husband thinks he has a new wife. I have so much more energy and confidence it's unbelievable! I've never been this slim before - I was a size 18 when I got married but being 5ft 8in helps as people couldn't believe I was 17 stone when I started this diet and I now weigh 11.5 stone.
The diet is amazing and well worth the money. I enjoyed Christmas and again, ate what I wanted within reason and only put 2lb on (which has now gone since eating as per the maintenance plan).

Started on ss yesterday so first two days now over. I like the flavours, but have felt very very hungry. I've been told the first few days are the worst so am determined to stick at it and hope I dont feel so hungry in the days to come. I feel fine in myself, no headaches or side effects, but have been drinking plenty of water.
Hope it is going well for you Sammy and all the others, especially those who have just started.
Lady in London who is looking for a buddy and suggested using msn, good idea, but how would we exchange email addresses? I'm not willing to put mine on a public forum like this!0 -

Hi all
Day 4 on the SS diet and suprisingly, I feel great. So far no headaches and I'm only hungry before meal times, then I have my shake/bar/soup and I'm ok. Also I'm loving the flavours, I would actually eat the soups as a normal meal.
I am having one problem tho, I'm not sleeping very well since I started. Has anyone else had the same problem?0 -
As previously mentioned I started on news years day and so am now on day 9. Everything going swimmingly. Not in the least hungry or tempted looking forward to getting my slim body back and being able to wear my slim clothes again + some new ones too. Have worked 2 nights this week which haven't been a problem and so am so thrilled as the tiredness from working nights has caused my weight gain this year as I have been keeping myself going on caffeine and sugar. Tomorrow is day 10 and around 10% of the way there. I plan to treat myself to something nice a new handbag or something. I will do this along the way as a reward for being so good.
Nice to hear others are doing well too. Well done and don't be tempted to cheat as the the most tiny cheat can be disaster on this diet.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
I too started the Cambridge diet (on day 5) and so far feel pretty good. Really enjoying the flavours. Don't see them as meals anymore just as a drink. Really like peppermint tea too, have one on a morning after my first pint of water.
I did Lighter Life a few years ago and dropped 4 1/2 stone but then had another baby and put it all on again. So now I'm here with an aim to finally shift this weight. I've a long way to go.. another 4 1/2 - well 5 really stone to go but I'm sure I'll do it again.
Good luck to everyone x0
