I did it Seantra at 47. Lost 4 and a half stone, no problem. Just get your head down and your eye on the goal. You can do it. Look at www,minimns.com they are sooooooooooooooooooo helpful

If you all commit 100% to sole source it will work beautifully and be excellent value for money. If not it is a waste of money.

I'm day 6 now and determined not to waste money although I am working the nightshift tonight and so realise tomorrow will be tricky. I felt absolutely done in yesterday around 6pm which I think was just done to the diet.

Good Luck all and wish me luck to for day6 and day7.

  • Hello all.

I contributed to this thread many months ago and found it helpful. I lost 3 stone on SS with CD (blimey, you can tell I'm an old hand at this with all that jargon!) and I was talking to my counsellor about becoming a CDC myself. Through the stages of filling in forms, I got lost in a new relationship (well, I was looking like hot stuff by this stage!), which involved lots of slipping off the diet, restarting the diet and then completely letting it all go out the window. So 3 months of losing weight led to 6 months of putting it all back on. And here I am. Poo.

I went to see my CDC today and have purchased my packs, but needed today as my last day of food. At this istage, I'm not craving all this rubbish I've been eating, but I am not sure if I am mentally strong enough to be doing the diet. I did amazingly well before - I was so focussed. Now this time, I think I need to use this tool and perhaps buddy up with someone else for a bit of support and encouragement too. My partner is rubbish at understanding this and thinks it's ok to have the odd clotted cream milkshake or ice cream bar lol!

Anyone out there who wants to buddy up? I'm happy to exchange msn etc. I'm 29, live in west london and am a female. I am also a food addict!

    Thanks all.

I think 43 is close enough! I was hoping to collect mine tonight, but unfortunately it was not possible. The counsellor is coming to my house tomorrow night, so it looks like being a Weds kick off for me! Have you done the diet before?

I take it your friend won't be doing the diet - is she one of those boring naturally slim people?

And a thurs kick off for me so we will be almost starting together...thats good.

I have never done the diet before but a colleague's brother in law has lost a lot of weight with the diet which got me thinking to trying it...I have tried every other diet going.

No my friend won't be doing the diet she is as you rightly said a skinny minny....Let me know how your first day has gone..

  • Good luck to you who have recently started the diet. Get your head in the right place and the rest comes naturally.

I felt like this at first Penny but I found that by adding extra water to the soups and ice to the shakes, I could tolerate it and now actually like a few flavours! One thing that helped me through was mixing a choc tetra pack with strong coffee to make a kind of mocha. It was great for breakfast time and easy to do at work. I'm back on sole source after a three week christmas break which resulted in a 5lb gain. I have to say, it feels good to be under control again. Good luck everyone
