Moving on..!
I'm joining WWon Monday
I'm getting fed up of my plateau, though funnily enough I had another chocolate binge and lost another lb, but I'm sure it'll be back tomorrow.
Just want to see if WW will work for me
I think CD is a fantastic diet, but I reckon it's time to move along now.
Though I'll still have a shake for breakfast, until they run out!

This thread is brilliant, it's really motivated me. I've been on CD for 2 weeks now and I'm doing really well. I've got to go away on a course a week on Monday, I'll still be able to do the CD at breakfast and lunch but we will be going out for meals 3 nights. One of the times it will be a Mexican place, and the other it's a steak bar. Does anyone have any tips for what I can eat? My counsellor said chicken and veg but neither place has anything like that!
Thanks.0 -
I have considered trying the CD. What concerns me though, is, once the weight is lost, is there an easy maintainable solution to keeping your weight off?
Well I know the answer to that already, but I've always imagined these diets, you'd would have to continue eating ' the company foods ' to keep it off. I really just need to read or moreso be assured is a want of a better word, after my goal is reached, i'm not going to be purcashing sachet foods to keep the weight steady. Would you then go on and opt food with plans such as WW and SW ?bam bam bammy Shore by The Revellers...do do de de do.0 -

Once you've lost the weight and gone up the plans, how you chose to maintain it is up to you. Some people continue to use the shakes to replace some meals, or even as a snack.
I wanted to prove to myself that I could maintain without them, so haven't had them since reaching goal. Having said that, I have tried a few since becoming a counsellor just to see what the new flavours tasted likeJust as a snack though, not to replace a meal and certainly not to control my weight. My choice though.
I didn't want to maintain with SW or WW, as I really didn't want to count anything again. Just get to goal, and try to maintain my weight with the old fashioned advice of eating the good stuff and getting out and about a bit more. Worked as well:rolleyes:
So as I say. It's entirely up to you. You do need to do the plans up to replenish glycogen and get the calories back up to maintenance levelsCambridge Weight Plan Consultant0 -
Thank you Louisepp
There's not enough minutes in the day for me just now. So far, i've pretty much only read up on the pros and cons answers on forums from users, and realise I should really read the main site properly covering the basis, getting the mind set etc.
I'm concerned I'll start it, and life's hectic timetable takes over and I slip up, wasting my time , efforts and money.bam bam bammy Shore by The Revellers...do do de de do.0 -

Very wise. Never rush into any quick weight loss diet unless you've done the research:j
I could tell you that Cambridge was the best diet ever, but truth is, the best diet is the one that you are ready to do, be it WW, SW, reduced calories. Whatever you can get your head around. As long as it's healthy, works and helps you keep it off forever.
Cambridge did that for me, but for the next person in the street it could be WW or SW.
Very best of luck with whichever way you chose. Don't leave it too long though. Your health doesn't stay on hold until you have time. Learnt the hard way with that one:rolleyes:Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant0 -
hi
my BMI was 46 and my cdc never asked me to go to the doctors with a form.
i started the cd on wednesday, so today is my 5th day...its not been too bad.
ive been reading these forums all weekend and they really have inspired me although imnow a bit worried about the doctors form.
i have about 6 stone to lose and it literally is the last resort for me before surgery ( gastric band).
today my stomachs been rumbling all day.
anyway i hope i can be as strong as all you are....wish me luck0 -
I did the Cambrdige Diet earlier this year and lost a stone and kept it off. I need to lose another 3 stone really but found I couldn't keep to just the shakes. If I drink a litre of water a day that's amazing - I just don't like drinking and I think that didn't help me on the CD. Try as I might I can't drink water or anything. To me cleaning my teeth is a drink! lol
So if you can drink the water I say good for you, keep it up. It does make commonsense that it helps your body. Even knowing that doesn't make any difference to me. I've been told by friends and doctors for years I must drink more...............I can't. I often wonder if hypnosis would help me but finding someone who you trust is like walking through a mine field!
Good Luck to you all.0 -

Hi C'n'Q - gosh you look so good. I know you kept to the CD completely. How much have you lost as it doesn't show on your postings now? Also have you achieved your goal weight now?
Well Done & Congratulations - you look brilliant :T :T !0
