    That sounds quite nice!

I have registered on the Home & Health website, they have a forum for cambridge etc. but its quite quiet just now. so finding this one is good!

My hubby is exactly the same, its like yeah yeah heard it all before! In fact when I started on Monday, he said he would give me to Friday and I would be off it. Am I going to show him! I am just disgusted at myself for letting my weight get this bad, when we got married, just coming up for 10 years ago, I weighed 10st 3lbs and had a size 10 dress, now i am 17st and a size 20! Albeit, I had a baby, but he his now 2.5, so I cant use that excuse anymore. I cant wait to get the weight(!) off and get out again and feel confident about myself instead of sitting hiding in a corner, thats if I do get out, which is a very rare occassion these days. Of course, it doesnt help when all my friends are a size 8 and gorgeous.

Lets give each other the determination to get through this... seeing as our men arent helping!!!!!!!!!!

Well it's day 6 for me

and i have a wonderful husband who is supportive of me, as he knows that i have to succeed.

even bought me a bunch of flowers the other day as a treat, i usually get chocolates or a bottle of wine, so he's learing.

I just couldn't help myself today, as i'm making a sunday dinner, and i needed some inspiration to cook it, so i jumped on the scales.

now my scales at home say a weight loss of 8lb in 6 days

i know your not suppose to go on the scales, but doing that makes today so much easier.

I've not been struggling with food that much, my problem is all the water, i find it hard to drink so much.

yesterday i even struggled to have my 3rd shake of the day, which i made into a muffin.

yes it was me who made it into a muffin.

but your shake mix into a bowl (i used chocolate mint)

add 2 tablespoons of water, and mix to a very thick paste, if you think it is to thick add a bit more water, i prefer a bit more water added, then zip in the micorwave for 1 min.

should come out, cake like round the edge and a bit runny inthe middle, don't mix it, or it will faltten, due to you releasing the air.

good luck all with your diets.

I'm a member on here, and it is a fantastic website

  • Hi all, i'm planning on starting the Cambridge Diet tomorrow. I have about 1.5 stones to lose - how long do you think it will take to lose it? Also, i normally go to the gym 2/3 times per week - would it still be beneficial to do this? I realise that it is a low calorie intake on the Cambridge but i guess it would help with the weight loss so long as i don't overdo it. I think i am going to start off on the Sole Source in the first week for a kick start and then probably build up my calories in the 2nd, though it depends how much i manage to lose in the first week.

You really should do 810 if you are wanting to do a lot of gym work as your body needs the extra calories.

Do SS for the first week by all means but don't go mad on the gymwork.

The weight loss in the first week can be anything from 3lbs to 18lbs depending on how much water you are carrying around. You will just have to wait and see as everyone is so different.

The best Forum is www.cambridgedieters.com and is endorsed by Cambridge whereas the others are not.

Hope all goes well for you!

CnQ, how long have you been doing cambridge for? Your weight loss is inspirational.

What have been your highs and lows on the the diet?

  • Have been doing CD for just over a year. Have had four full weeks off the diet on holidays in that time.

The highs are the weight losses, of course. The whole new Summer wardrobe.

    Have no Winter clothes left!

No lows to speak of really, just a case of waiting for the weight to fall off - which it has done spectacularly!
