    Hi Everyone,

Had my first weigh in today after a week on the diet and I have lost 7lbs. I have lost an inch off my waist and thighs and half an inch of my bust, hips and upper arms so I am well chuffed. Going on to the SS+ next week and hope to keep up the good work.:j

Very well done ali :j :T That's great news and gives you a great insentive to go on.

I've been lurking around here a while as I think I may give CD a try after the summer hols to lose my last 2st, that seems stuck!

All the very best of luck loubyjane, will keep an eye on how it goes for you.

Supersaver, I was wondering that too! I amn't good drinking stuff I don't like, so trying it first would be ideal! Can you buy a few to try before committing to anything?

My friend is doing Cd and has lost nearly a stone in 2 weeks. I have seen the lows at the start but she is feeling much better now, nails have grown so she is obviously getting more nutrients. I am really eager to start too and will phone the CDC soon, but I am a bit worried about costs. Can someone tell me if it stays at £35 no matter how many meals you get given or will it reduce with less bars, which I am hoping it does. I have about 5 stone to lose and don't know how to go about it. I have eaten a lot of fruit lately and have put on 11lbs in about 6 weeks, so must do something drastic. Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance,
    BB

    good morning everyone!!!

    well here goes....

first shake in hand ....strawberry flavour.... CDC told me to wizz in glass blender with ice and bit more water than it suggests.....so now got a pint of strawberry milk shake ...it is yummy....seriously nice!! and I'm fussy!!

I was a bit surprised to learn from my new CDC that the plan has shifted some what and was told SS now consists of 4 meal packs a day AND 200ml skimmed milk....WOOOW no black coffee for me...

This is shown in the new revised handbook she gave me...no mention of 3 meal plan SS and no add a meal week either....instead you get plan b which is 3 meal packs and 1 200kcl meal and you can do all or either plan A or plan B till you go up to the 810 plan.

So was a bit more costly then I had expected...but compared to other diets I have tried like slimming world...where you spend a ton on ingrediants and extras no one else eats and spend all day obsessing on spending your food allowances...I still think it is well worth it for the guarantee you will loose more in a quicker time span and you can stop thinking about food and get on with your life...therefore not enforceing that cycle that probably brought me to this stage as it is!

So that's my thought for the day...was going to start this Monday but am so keen to get on I decided to just get on with it...CDC agreed...so now got the hell of day 3 and 4 coming up as ate fish and chips last night before going to her....and had not cut down on anything...but when I got on the scales and realised I had put a stone on since giving up dieting after loosing 3 st my mind was made up! so here goes...think I have 5 1/2 stone to loose..lets see how quick I can get it off!!!!

    Speak soon xx

We are only allowed 1 bar per day anyway. The around £35 is for three meal replacements per day for 7 days. If you are over 5'8" tall you would have to have 4 per day. Or if on SS+ with milk, 4 per day plus the milk.

CD is a lot cheaper than buying food!

Hi Bargain babe!...my CDC said minimum is a week(but I am in this till I am slim again even if I don't like it)....after all they have to spend some time explaining things etc and their time is free...yes you might not like it....but it isn't forever...and there is so many flavours...if you like soup and if you like angel delight as this is what the shake tasted like...then you'll be fine...I am sure come next week I will be moaning and it is very early days...but the cost I am investing in my self is worth what will be my end result a slim and more happy confident and most of all a healthy me......remind me I said that next week when I am craving bread!! it cost me £1.75 per shake or soup and when it gets to week 3 the bars will be £2 and also ready made shakes to take on the go are £2 from my CDC ....she lost 3 stone 2 years ago and still looks fab! and she did it in 10 weeks! a friend I know has a friend in her 4th week...and in 3 weeks she has lost 18lb she has 24lb to reach her target so she wont be at it too long either! any way better get those dogs walked ...catch you all later! x

By week three when you have the mousse-mix added the chocolate tetra made into a mousse is gorgeous!

I have been on Cambridge for 11 months now.

The expense doesn't come from buying Cambridge - you would have to buy food anyway - the expense is the new clothes when the whole of your wardrobe is falling off you!

I only did SS for 8 weeks at the beginning!

    Then did 790 for months.

Went onto SS for a couple of weeks after I came back from my holiday in April, then SS+ with food.

As of last Friday went back to 790 and will stick with it for a while.

Have lost 5lbs since last Friday too!

that's great news cq well done!! what a great loss again! may I ask why you are on 790? and why is my consultant so insistent I do ss+ 4 packs and 200ml skim milk..any ideas? I'm 5ft 6 and have about 5 1/2 to loose and will ss+ be slower than ss??

I originally went onto 790 last September as I had a couple of birthdays to attend and a wedding, plus a couple of social events and it allowed me to eat chicken/veg/salad with no problems.

I then found that my losses were the same on 790 as on SS.

I was ok on SS+ but was getting really bad cravings for bread/carbs so decided to go back to 790. I am away two weekends in the next four, then away in Germany for a week so wanted to be able to have a meal at some point in the day.

I enjoy 790, so why not?

Your CDC is there to advise you, not dictate.

SS+ is 615 cals. 790 is now technically 810 but you could do 810 without the milk allowance. Sometimes I have my milk allowance as fat-free plain yoghurt, sometimes I just miss it out.

If you want to try SS+ with food then do so but don't mix the two SS+ programmes in the same week.

SS+ with food and 810 are both three meal replacements with a meal.
