Hi Everyone
I am about to start the Cambridge Diet for the first time on Thursday. I have been reading this forum for some time and find you inspirational. Any help and advice you can give would be gratefully received. I am starting on the 810 plan for the first week, as advised by my counsellor, is this normal? Having read your posts most people seem to start on SS or SS+.
It's not necessarily 'normal' but can be a very good idea, to ease you into the diet.
I started straight on SS with not much preparation and paid for it in headaches and tiredness0 -
In the 20 weeks of doing 790 I had the same weight losses as on SS, so no problems there.
You will find it easier to go down to SS from 810 than from a 'normal' diet.
Hope all goes well for you0 -
Hi there,
I started on cambridge today and I have to say i'm struggling! yes, already
Please tell me it gets easier!!0 -
The first couple of days can be difficult.
You do get used to not thinking about food 24/7!! Have been on Cambridge 11 months today!
Back to SS today, until I have lost at least 14lbs
Hope all goes well for you0 -
I didn't expect it to get too hard till at least tomorrow!
think part of the problem my be i#ve done all shakes- think i will mix in some soups next week, so the sweet/ savoury contrast might help!
thanks for your words of support.
11 months- wow, thats impressive! well done you0 -
By week 3 when you can have bars it gets easier still.
Do try a tetra frozen as ice-cream. They are lovely0 -
I froze a banana tetra and left it to defrost for about 30 mins, and it was in a big frozen lump
I have 21 chocolate tetras for the next 2 weeks, hah. Not so keen on the banana ones.0 -
You need to leave the tetra for at least one hour, preferably an hour and a half - and they are yummy!0

But no, no excess skin here :j
I am blessed with good skin, though, which might be why I don't have any problems so far.
Thanks for your reply. And a massive congratulations on your weight loss. It would make dieting so much more worth while not to be left with excess skin, I think! Although for health reasons it's best to lose excess weight even if we get left with some excess skin! I've 2st to go, I'll keep up the excercise and hope things get (look) better! Good luck in reaching your target.

Thanks!
I love my bodyfirming lotion - it really does help.
Someone on the Cambridge Forum is using Soap & Glory's The Firminator and says it is wonderful. Might give that a go too.0
