thankyou for the support so far, i think once i get used to this diet i will be okay. im a pretty determined sort of person usually but with food inside me!!!!

i am determined to keep going as i have read through most of this thread and the determination shown by others i know i can get as well if you know what i mean.

it is hard with a family as well as i dont do ready meals i usually cook from scratch so i cant expect the family to eat readies when they are used to home cooking and so im finding this the hardest part.

we are off out to a party tonight as well and everyone will wonder why i aint drinking, i dont really want to tell the world and his wife what im doing but its hard on social occasions. could really do with not going but will have to.

going to do the garden today to keep busy and not think about food so much. i will treat myself every week when i lose weight but the only trouble is i treat myself all the time anyway lmao.

hope everyone has a food free day xxxxxxxxx

Iffy tummy usually does as an explanation.

Or taking antibiotics and can't drink alcohol

I had discussed meal replacement diets with non-CDers in the past and they tended to think that I was crazy…..lol!! Now that I'm on it I've told the same people I'm detoxing and they have been empathetic, encouraging and highlight the benefits of having a liquid diet!!!

So I finally managed to get a CDC, she dropped off 2 weeks supply today. She wants me to go on SS+ so I have 21 each drinks and 14 bars.....I'm sure I read on here you shouldn't have bars until week 3. Should I give them a miss for a while or will it not make any difference? She also didn't bring the tetra's which i really want to try frozen so that was dissapointing, but I can get them next time I suppose.

I start tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Hope all goes well for you!

You really should not have the bars until ketosis is well-established.

The thing is you can't double up on the shakes as you can only have one bar per day

Me again.....sorry to keep going on, but I feel I don't have the wrlds most helpful CDC. I just want to check, she gave me the meals and the bars and a pamphlet thing about CD......should there have been anything else?

Also, I have decided to give the bars a miss for the first two weeks, but is it ok to get the make a mouse stuff at the beginning? Ditto with the tetra packs? It's just made me a bit wary that she has given me the bars and now you guys have told me, and it says in the pamphlet you shouldn't have them till week 3...I'm wondering was there anything else she missed.....

Sorry was out late last night.

No bars, mousse-mix or water-flavouring for the first two weeks.

The tetras are fine from the beginning and you can have three a day if you wish

You can only have one bar per day - this is because they contain slightly more carbs than the shakes/soups. Also, you would get really bad wind!

The SS booklet is very good, have a read of that. Your CDC missed nothing else.

    hiya all

wellcome clara, you are a newbie aty this the same as me lol.

went to the party last night and i had just water and no food, people all around me were eating sausage rolls and stuff and it was hard just sticking to the water, it was a cheap night for oh though as he didnt have to keep getting my pints of cider in lmao.

feeling a bit shaky this morning and im wondering if its because im not drinking enough water or somthing else, i am on day 5. i know its a stupid question and i can be a bit of a dummy sometimes but what it tetra, my cdc didnt mention it and i cant find the answer.?????????

    speak later xxxxxxxx

    Thanks guys x

Just had my first one......I had cappucino made with hot water, and I just had half a pack. I have to say it took all my time to keep it down....what does everyone else find with the taste? Was I just unlucky I got one I didn't like or do other people find them an 'accuired taste' to begin with?

I'll let C&Q answer the tetra question I'm sure she'll know more about it than I!
